The latest draft prospect turned out by Rick Pitino and Louisville seems to have his supersized ego ready for the rigors of the NBA. Dick Weiss of the New York Daily News was kind enough to post the following gem.When asked about his legacy at Louisville, Williams gave the following humble response:
"I'm not saying retire my jersey. But five years from now, at least honor my jersey, because nobody wore No. 1 before me."

I must admit that I made that loser post before I realized the Big East changed their policy and allowed all 16 teams in. I guess the incremental TV revenue is worth dragging the dregs of the conference out to MSG for a while. I can't imagine how tired some of these teams will be by Day 3 or Day 4, assuming one gets that far.
Yeah, there doesn't seem to be a ton of upside for winning the Big East tourney if you don't receive the double bye (unless you need the automatic bid) now.
A couple more things:
- I've been laughing more a FSU fans and their incredulous reactions to these NCAA penalties. Florida lost 2 SEC titles when they were caught for cheating in the 80s. I'd hardly say that FSU's sanctions were unwarranted or too harsh, but thats what a lot of their fans seem to think.
- Also, TJ, if you ever end up at Universal Studios in Orlando again...they now have a Whopper bar. I'm not entirely sure what this is but it sounds glorious.
Or day 5 for that matter, since the Big East if giving the top four seeds a bye in the first AND second round.
If you are the 9 seed, which in a better year I am sure the Big East comish would argue might be a bubble team, you have to win 5 games in five nights to make win the BE tourney.
Dumb.
