Ceai Complet: May 20, 2008

Really, it's not our intent to make this segment a Red Sox compendium. Merely a coincidence. We'd say that Jon Lester's efforts last night are worthy, though. And so we tip our cap to the Sox' young lefthander after his no-hit performance last night against the Royals.

Wally the Green Monster is a nice Gheorghian touch, dont'cha think?

Written by rob. I'm just happy his arm will never be the same the rest of the season.

why won't my arm be the same?

People are making way too big a deal out of the pitch count thing. David Cone went 160 deep once, and he used to go to 130-140 all the time.

Lester is young. Unfortunately for Yankee fans like myself, he'll be back in no time.

People should stop treating young pitchers like pussies. They'll hurt themselves no matter how much you coddle them (I'm looking at you, Mr. Gallardo).

I want his arm to be hurt. Embrace the hate.

man, amen to that, rhyme. it's all part of the pussification of america. rub a little dirt on it and get back out there, son.

Yeah. Clemens used to throw a lot of pitches. AND HE LASTED FOR 23 SEASONS!!!!

Clearly, it was the strength and endurance he developed as a young fireballer that allowed him to succeed for so long. Nothing else.

Had no idea the Red Sox had a mascot. I heart Wally the Green Monster.
