Multi-Tasking

This video:

1) Continues our recent (long-standing?) trend towards laziness and YouTube-based filler;

2) Finally gets something up to replace Dave's text-heavy, yet edifying assignments; and

3) Encapsulates my message to the people that are still talking about Jay Cutler.

(Bonus - and features a cute girl "saying" naughty stuff.)

tribe entertaining delaware this evening. i use that term loosely. delaware, i mean.

Marls said...

Quite the barnburner for the tribe and blue hens tonight. There us a shot the teams don't get to 80 points combined.

rob said...

what's gotten into providence?

T.J. said...

A seedy lower middle class that preys on Brown students?

TR said...

Providence is an under-rated foodie haven. Lots of great places to eat, courtesy of the Johnson & Wales. Not much else to love in Rhode Island. Except the fact that they call hot dogs "hot weiners" in restaurant signs.

Marls said...

Scoring flurry in the second half, but the tribe still sucks.

Marls said...

Foxy Lady TR, Foxy Lady.

rob said...

meh, tribe. meh.

People are trapped on I-66 in Virginia...

rob said...

it's a shitshow out there. nasty, heavy, wet snow.

TR said...

In case you're wondering if I've become a huge Kim Clijsters fan because she now lives in a modest house in my hometown, the answer is an emphatic yes.

Chris Fowler is doing the match for ESPN. That dude has a fun job.

TR said...

It never fails to amuse me to see two announcers talking to the camera from their booth. They are always positioned uncomfortably close together. Bummer for Pam Shriver to have to look at Dick Enberg's California Raisin face from 6 inches away.

i'm announcing this evening that i will reduce my salary to $1 if we have a work stoppage here at g:tb. by reduce, i mean increase.

rob said...

also, we have a g:tb correspondent heading to the super bowl. this is very exciting.

TR said...

Who is the Super Baller heading to Dallas?

top secret

rob said...

what channel is the jimmer/sdsu game on?

rob said...

durant and love getting after it this evening - thunder/wolves overtime. much better than thundersnow.

Mark said...

It's on CBS College Sports Channel, Rob. Jimmertime.

rob said...

fuuuuuck - do not get

rob said...

durant had 47 and 18, love had 31 and 21. okc won by 1 on overtime.

Mark said...

Jimmer has 20 in the 1st half.

zman said...

Do not go to law school. Still bumming.

mayhugh said...

I really wish I rooted for a team called the Thunderwolves. That would make for an awesome football helmet.

TR said...

That was Mayhugh's stealth way of seeing he still loves the Thundercats.

Thunder. THUNDER! THUNDERCATS!

zman said...

You forgot the "Ho!"

Marls said...

Shnarf schnarf.

zman said...

I considered a Snarf joke but then didn't pull the trigger. What the hell was Snarf?

T.J. said...

Snarf is simply one Snarve, a race of intelligent cat-like creatures. Snarves are plump, fuzzy and kind.

Squeaky said...

Snarfs remind me of TJ.

Unrelated news, this slogan, "It's the water that makes it", reminds me of "Brewed from the headwaters of the Chesapeake". Might be another classic cheap beer.

Lionel. Panthro. Chetara.

They really sold the CATS part of the gimmick.

I'm working on Gheorghe: The Beer. Available only from our website. Brewed using water imported from Triteni Romania.

Does anyone understand Buzz's twitter strategy? He's silent for days then rips off 20 straight unrelated tweets. Very schizophrenic.

Dave said...

you should use our water here in highland park. we had a water main break along with the snow storm, so we have to biol our water for a minute before we drink it. it must be full of good stuff for beer.

also, i highly recommend troeg's hopback amber.

T.J. said...

Um, what's happening with the Titans?

rob said...

saw the st louis university hoops squad in the airport. to my great disappointment, no majerus sighting.

Clarence said...

In a bar in Charleston, SC. Drinking an IPA called Sweetwater, Atlanta brewery. Eating fish tacos. Ogling co-eds. Not bad.

Clarence said...

To my great delight, no Majerus sighting. But that girl has a slight resemblance.

Clarence said...

And to answer Teej's question... Uh, there's a bit of a clash.

Fuck, that was retarded. Okay, seriously, I am alone at a bar in South Carolina. This morning I gave a 15 minute, boring as shit speech about my company that I will likely quit soon to 300 people who pretended to listen. I need to drink or 19, and I need some G:TB banter. Anyone?

T.J. said...

Tell us more tales....

Clarence said...

Alas, I have no more titillating tales of undersexed thirtysomethings molesting teen me in her majesty's land.

Oh, but here's a funny addendum to that one, and it's no bullshit. The group would watch movies every night on that trip. One night we watched The Graduate, which I had never seen before. Are you fucking kidding me?

Marls said...

Address Igor? I will meet you?

Clarence said...

Marls, come on down to Coast, the bar I selected at random that I just found out has both Gosling's Bermudian rum and Dale's Pale Ale!

Clarence said...

And, anyone who joins me gets the Igor 3-part guarantee:

1. It will not be a bad time.
2. It will be a good time.
3. You will hurt tomorrow.

I have a 7:22 AM flight tomorrow, that third one applies mostly to me.

rob said...

in a hotel in st. louis. coworkers, no coeds. got an awesome view of busch stadium, though. marls, i'll see you in 30 minutes.

Clarence said...

Rob, what's the vibe on Mark McGwire there these days?

We could ask GTB Mark, but he's down in Methico.

rob said...

this hotel is chock full of cardinals photos of all vintages - haven't seen a single mcgwire image.

Marls said...

I am at les halles. Bourdain's former employer. Free flowing red wine is making it tough to leave.

rob said...

and i'm hanging out with les nessman. or his midwestern friend-types. i love mingling with these laid-back country folk.

T.J. said...

Herb Tarlick? Venus Fly Trap?

Mark said...

St. Louis in January. I'll pass. Downtown (where Rob likely is) isn't all that bad though. Quite nice on a summer night when the Cardinals are in town.

St. Louis as a whole is a shithole though.

As for McGwire. I think people feel a little duped and stupid about it all. They don't openly hate him but they liked it better when he stayed home and played golf.

Mark said...

Dwyane Wade is on the verge of going apeshit in the Gardem. 14 points in a row. 13 straight made FGs.

rob said...

it's actually unseasonably warm right now, mark. about 40 degrees at dinner time. i might even run down to the arch tomorrow morning. i might also sleep in.

Mark said...

I'm obviously a St. Louis homer, but the arch isn't half bad. The view up top is cool. And the Arch itself is fucking huge.

Clarence said...

Wow. No big Mac?

Keith Hernandez?
John Tudor?
Neil Allen?

Clarence said...

Charleston is 41 degrees right now. Seems like it should be warmer. My only real gripe is that they relish calling this area the Low Country. Yeah, yeah -- fucking Norfolk is just as close to sea level but we don't feel the need to dwell on it.

Oh, and the closeted racist rednecks I overhear at the bar. Enough, David Duke.

Clarence said...

And I would love to go up in the Arch someday. Seems way awesome. Are you on your side at the top???

Mark said...

No. You're in a big lobby basically. a lobby where you can see Arkansas.

South Carolina has a special brand of racism.

rob said...

the heat are playing like they're at the rec center - awful, selfish offense

Danimal said...

Danimal at Pga show in whorlando. 14th yr in a row. If interested in going real deep tomorrow b at blue martini at 10. Hope to see u there.

T.J. said...

Something called Archer appears popular on the twitter

Clarence said...

Overheard a South Carolinian talking to his buddy about a mutual friend going through a hard time. He indicated that he would have solved he problem early on, and that the girl in question would have been missing both incisors and a couple of molars. Stay classy, palmetto state.

Clarence said...

If it's the Adult Swim Archer animated comedy, it's funny as balls and raunchy. Like you.

Mark said...

It's on FX actually. And yes, it is quite funny.

Dave said...

finally got to watch the video-- awesome.

best day ever today-- last night while at a bar got a message that my school was cancelled because they can't dig out. my wife and kids have school today so i am in the house, alone and hungover. it is excellent.
