Mosh Monday

May your week be filled with moshing penguins.

  1. I will stop fawning over Walt Frazier after this comment, but it needs to be said for clarification purposes:

That was a suit jacket, not a blazer. But he said it was just a print, not a fur. Fan-tastic.

  2. That penguin seems touched.

  3. I was waiting for the penguin to intentionally crash into another penguin. And then all the other penguins would pick up the fallen penguins because that's mosh etiquette.

  4. Reminds me of many a party at Unit M. Ladies standing on the side looking in horror at some random idiot moshing alone in the pit. Only thing missing is a few people sitting on the ledge.

  8. Rex Ryan is a better football coach than grammarian:

"There's no question, it's personal. It's about him against myself. That's what it's going to come down to."

  9. that dude (the penguin) knows how to party

and i bet rex would not have included apostrophes if communicating via written word

  10. Oregon is going to win tonight. I think Auburn's D will struggle more against Oregon than Oregon's D will struggle against Aubrn.

And I think the Heisman curse will affect Newton. He may be playing his last college game. And only he may know that. There are lots of reasons for him to be distracted these days.

Nobody has the stones to pick the Ducks so I'm doing it.

  11. TR, I agree with you, but as Jimmy the Greek once said, "The only thing better than winning is losing, cause' at least you had action."

For lunch at the bar at Wolfgang's...I'll take War Eagle straight up. Wadda ya say?

  14. I don't care who wins tonight, I just want an Arena Football final score.

  19. Whilst listening to ESPNRadio today I heard 4 different people pick the Ducks (two were Oregon affiliated), Mike Belloti, Greg McElroy, Neil Everett and Antonio Pierce. So, I guess what I'm saying is that TR's not nearly as contrarian as he thinks. Maybe a few weeks ago he would've been but the public sentiment seems to have shifted in Oregon's favors in the past week or so.

And though I have a reason to root for Auburn (SEC! SEC! SEC!), I'm with Teej. I don't care who wins just so long as the game is close and the combined points are above 70.

And finally, this is absolutely, positively Cam Newton's last college game. No chance he spends another year on the plains.

  20. Really Mark? You chose 70? I thought we had trained you better.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I actually don't expect 70, but I want 70+.

  22. I think Auburn's defensive front has a chance to really shine tonight. Not just Fairley. A dude name Zach Clayton is a beast and Antoine Carter is a pass-rushing terror. Mark can back me here I think.

  23. And yes, I am well aware of how poo poo the Auburn secondary is...

    ReplyDelete
  24. Like 71 maybe? It's cooler than 67.

  25. How invested can Newton be in Auburn right how? He (and his dad) have milked the situation for all it's worth. Isn't he just counting down the days until he buys a pimped out Escalade with an advance from an agent? He's been an Auburn Tiger for 5 months. At least LaMichael, another LaLikely LaThief, has been at Oregon a couple years.

  26. i'm afraid auburn's gonna push oregon around. i would like to be proven wrong.

  27. Auburn grows D lineman in a fucking genetic lab. I'm convinced of it. Zach Clayton is, indeed a monster. Carter's not too shabby either.

    ReplyDelete
  28. By all accounts from his time at Florida, Newton was always an unbelievable competitor. I think for him winning is all the investment he really needs.

  29. Anyone else sick of this Carmelo Anthony trade story?
