Charles Gibson lives in my town. He sends his daughter to a high school that charges almost $30 K/year tuition. It's an all-girls school called Kent Place by students, teachers and their parents. Everybody else calls it C-nt Palace.
I did not participate in this poll, but I do agree that without Cronkite, Jon Stewart is the person I trust most for news and information. Oh, and GTB, of course.
Mark Buerhle just threw a perfect game (his second no-hitter). When you start to look at his overall numbers (I only realized this after looking them up during the All-Star game) it appears as though Mr. Buerhle might be one of the more underrated pitchers of his generation.
Just saw it. Wise went full speed into the center field wall and, it appears, took away a homerun. Hell of a play under any circumstances. Downright heroic under these circumstances.
Not sure if any of you care at all, but this corruption/money laundering bust in NJ is absolutely unbelievable. As a former resident of Hoboken, I can tell you it was one of the most blatantly corrupt towns imaginable. The fire and police chiefs of this 1 square mile town each made more than their counterparts in NYC.
Throw in some Syrian Jew rabbis, a Brooklyn cash house and organ harvesting and you've got a good glimpse of how business goes down in the Dirty Jerz...
There's a good chance the US will play Mexico twice in the next 2-3 weeeks. It'll be interesting to see how different the rosters will be in the NJ game versus the Mexico City game.
You go Jonny Leibowitz...

ReplyDeleteCarry on.
Four dead in Ohio.
ReplyDeleteI did not participate in this poll, but I do agree that without Cronkite, Jon Stewart is the person I trust most for news and information. Oh, and GTB, of course.
ReplyDeletethat goes without saying
ReplyDeletespeaking of news, adam laroche is mexican. and has a.d.d. commence to mashing up the two to create comedy rhombus.
ReplyDeleteDios M-where was I?
ReplyDeleteAdam Lacucaroche?
ReplyDeletetj wins, and with the very first entry. very nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm on a Mexican... Ritalin... whoa-oo-oh.
ReplyDeleteWatching Buehrle go for a no-no on ESPN's Gamecast is about 0.00001% as exciting as watching it on TV.
ReplyDeleteI actually overstated the excitement percentage of watching Gamecast.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, Ozzie G. will go out and get hammered and say/do something inappropriate that will make me laugh tomorrow. Again.
I enjoyed Whitney's contribution...far more than I enjoy Whitney, in fact.
ReplyDeletethe judges are reconsidering. seems that teejay may have violated the league's banned substances policy.
ReplyDeleteI highly doubt there are any "banned substances" at G:TB. Unless, of course, we're talking about duster again...

ReplyDeleteI missed the "duster" jokes...
ReplyDeleteI actually saw an entire case of duster in the electronics section of Wal-mart last weekend and immediately thought of you, TJ.
ReplyDeleteWe have a strange friendship.
So apparently DeWayne Wise saved this thing for him? Anyone see the play in question?
ReplyDeleteJust saw it. Wise went full speed into the center field wall and, it appears, took away a homerun. Hell of a play under any circumstances. Downright heroic under these circumstances.

ReplyDeleteHold on, a few days ago I find out Clete Thomas is a whitey...and now you expect me to believe Adam LaRoche is Mexican?
ReplyDeleteI'm not buying your snake oil.
his father's name is garcia. laroche is his stepdad's name. and that's one to grow on.
ReplyDeletethe jersey thing is all kinds of fucked up. and awesome. don't forget awesome.
Love the MLB network - get to watch the Yanks tonight.
ReplyDeleteNot if it's raining. Dagger.
ReplyDeletei'm clarence goodson, bitch.
ReplyDeleteThere's a good chance the US will play Mexico twice in the next 2-3 weeeks. It'll be interesting to see how different the rosters will be in the NJ game versus the Mexico City game.
ReplyDeleteThis is not sad. What is sad is watching the Nationals and the Padres "slug" it out Saturday night...even if the tickets are free.
ReplyDeleteoberto is a wizard. commence steinbog hair jealousy bits.
ReplyDeleteIs anybody else watching the Mexico-Costa Rica game on Univision? This crowd is nuts...for a game being played in Chicago.
ReplyDeleteMark, the Magic just added Matt Barnes, who I assume you are a huge fan of...
ReplyDeleteI know I like the Matt Barnes addition. It takes away some of the defensive liability on the wing from vinnnie c.
ReplyDeleteI like Barnes. He fits their system well, he plays good D and is a bit of an agitator. Plus, they got him pretty cheap.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little bummed though now that it looks like the Magic aren't going to sign CJ Watson as their backup PG.
