Celebrating Donuts

Three hockey posts in a row. Sure sign of a lack of ideas. Of course, this entire blog is an exercise in creatively covering up a lack of ideas, so hockey's just part of the plan.

Don Koharski skated his final shift last night, whistling his final minor penalty late in the Capitals/Lightning game. Jim Schoenfeld sent over a bouquet of The Fractured Prune's best.

Two mornings ago I had the best doughnuts I have ever eaten. I guess I'm used to relatively fresh doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, Dunkin', etc. I had warm, just made, and made-to-order ones from Duck Donuts in the OBX. Holy smoke. Introducing a fat guy like me to doughnuts like that is just a terrible idea.

I had a Krispy Kreme the other day for the first time in forever, and it was just as fucking delicious as I remembered.

early and unscientific reports from augusta indicate that the course is playing harder today than it did during yesterday's orgy of scoring.

Good to see Teejay finally getting back into donuts. The first step is always the hardest.

It's a healthy start to any day.

Relative to your other staples, that might actually be true.

AM Ale, an apple...and a doughnut.

It's about time this blog started covering real sports. I'm tired of not getting the basketball references.
