People of Rosslyn, VA: Please stop trying to poison rob

Seems someone in Rosslyn might be taking squirrel population control into their own hands, and that's not good news for our Tiny Dictator, who is unable to distinguish poison pills from nuts. The folks at the Ode Street Tribune blog are asking you, dear citizens of Rosslyn, to stop poisoning squirrels, Charles Bronson vigilante style.

Oh yeah, this quote cracked me up:
Squirrels face deadly attacks from hawks. Hawks face deadly attacks from their shadows in windowpanes. Don't add to the violence that already exists in the world.
All I'm saying is, you keep knocking off his kind, and rob's gonna send Moose and Rocco to rough you up...

in related news, mr kq tried to kill me last night by making me ride a mountain bike through mud, streams, and rock-strewn trails.

bike stroller or sidecar?

rob's nuts are poisonous?

rob said...

powerful, anyway

Free pick: taking UNC +12.5 tonight. Don't think South Carolina has enough offense to win by that much.

Read the SI feature on Brad Stevens last night. You should too.

it's really well done. hard not to root for him.

Tribe intel I am getting coincides with Dave Fairbank's piece a bit -- the defense is rock solid with some serious studs. The offense... meh. Quarterback injuries continue to decimate the squad. We will have trouble scoring points (on offense) this year.

Which makes the WVU game potentially ugly . . .but worth watching.

The band that has several sons of local friends of mine in it (as I discussed here) is playing the Sigma Pi fraternity at W&M on Sept 6. Which is appropriate, because those guys historically have enjoyed a good beat.

In retrospect, I should've given Teedge this as a wedding present.

Mo Pi 30-2? I've been drinking free Carlsburg at the Copenhagen airport for over three hours due to the peculiarities of international relations, and just learned that my flight is delayed. I predict that I will not feel well when I get home.

i choose to hear teejay's comment in the chappelle-as-lil-jon voice.

sheesh, zed. our oral tradition would seem to have some gaps in it. 33-5, for fuck's sake.

Mark said...

All TJ's comments are better when read that way, Rob.

YEAHHH!

I have no interest in your oral tradition or your poisonous/powerful nuts.

That Dick's Sporting Goods commercial where they track from the offensive huddle to the D-line is pretty freaking great.

Wife just got home to find me watching SC UNC and the first thing she said was "football is back already?"

Mark said...

Good to see my CFB betting season is off to a splendid start.

And I too love that commercial, Mayhugh

The sack Rob Jackson just had against the TB scrubs was still pretty impressive. He reached over the Tackle, while being blocked, and dragged the QB down. Oh yeah, he's suspended for 4 games...

Laquon Treadwell is almost too good of a name for a wide receiver. It's like "Friday Night Lights" caliber.

If I was an Ole Miss fan I'd drunkenly yell out "Hugh Freeze!" all the time. I'd also probably be racist.

UConn is gonna lose to Towson?

caa, baby!

Sort of related to the original post, has anybody else been seeing way more rabbits than usual? They're all over the place. I almost jogged over 2 of them last night.

And who's ready for some Rutgers football?

Mr KQ said...

Great ride Rob- bit of a mudfest. And the Racer 5 at The Brogue wasn't bad either.

Rutgers' uniforms are hideous.

The two CFB teams with the most blocked kicks since 2009? Rutgers and Fresno State. Most random stat ever.
