Welcome to May...

...and a Brand New Funk*:

*Mock me all you want for enjoying the Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff, but all I know is I wore out that "He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper" tape when it came out. Forget "Parents Just Don't Understand" for a second...between this song, "Nightmare on my Street" and "Charlie Mack" I couldn't get enough of the fellas in the Summer of '89. And, oh yeah, F U Jazzy Jeff for remixing this song two years ago because you needed the money.

I always hoped that Jazzy Jeff would turn into Will's own Clint Howard - an odd dude with minor roles in Will's movies. Like Buscemi or Schneider with Sandler. Or Joey Silviera with Tom Byron.

Sorry Teej but I don't think Jazzy Jeff remixed this song because he needed the money. He's made himself a very nice career as a producer in hip hop and R&B over the last 15 years. And it's generally not poppy crap that most associate him with.

the grand hyatt in dc has an hd tv embedded in the men's room mirror. this might be the greatest invention ever.

My hotel in Vegas last year had it in the bathroom mirror in my room. It was ... convenient...

By the way, every time someone uses the term "soft launch" in a meeting, I picture one of the men in those erectile dysfunction commercials who scared to talk to his doctor about his flaccidity.

Flaccidity is a word that just doesn't get enough usage these days.

Larry Brown is the mosst fickle man in basketball.

Make a decision & stick with it dude. Stop blabbering about how you love MJ but also love Philly, whatever. Blah Blah blah. Too much drama with him...

PS--did you know that he's 70 and his kids with the second wife are 13 and 15???

PPS--If he decided to bring his drama to the Wizards, I may be able to tolerate it for a few years if he could get us a string of 50+ win seasons.

So Larry Brown and Larry King are the same guy, except I've met Larry King?

Larry Brown is a carpet-bagging bag of turd. He abandoned the NJ Nets about 30 years ago to run to Kansas, and then has shown the serial habit of leaving franchises at the drop of a hat if there's something else out there.

He sandbagged the Knicks when he realized he wasn't going to be happy under Zeke. He started Matt Barnes in the season opener and then pushed for him to be released a couple months later. He never used anything resembling a normal rotation, and never played David Lee or Trevor Ariza consistently. He whined to the press and got his contract bought out.

I loathe him as a person.

and larry king is allegedly bangin his sister-in-law, also 25-30 years his junior. say what you will - the guy really has it going on, really.

"George Huguely of Chevy Chase, Md., is charged in the death of 22-year-old Yeardley Love of Cockeysville, Md."

Not sure if you could put together a better set of names.

George was never the same after UPN canceled his sitcom.
