I present to you...Rave Truck!!!

Courtesy of the newly discovered website Urlesque, I happily present to you this morning the Rave Truck. As opposed to all the other videos I throw up here, I strongly urge you to actually watch this one. It's freakin' awesome.

I wish I could tell you that OJ fought the good fight, and the Sisters let him be. I wish I could tell you that - but prison is no fairy-tale world.

From ESPN.com, discussing the Redskins' open QB competition:

"Already on the roster are Campbell, Grossman, Colt Brennan and Richard Bartel."

I'd laugh if my team didn't have Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brian Brohm, and maybe soon Daunte Culpepper.

tj, when you say "freakin' awesome," what exactly do you mean by that?

I mean "better than a Greasetruck song".

Be honest Dave, when you see a headline like this, how many of your colleagues instantly come to mind?

from the sportsbog:

Shanahan to ESPN Chicago: "I just think Tim Tebow is a winner, he is going to make it....He’s going to find a way to get it done."

i, for one, welcome our holier-than-thou overlord.

T.J. said...

Ah yes, Tim Tebow, the Jesuit Browning Nagle.

Dennis said...

Rob, we want no part of Tim Tebow. You watch your mouth.

The Teej, that article has to be fake. All the names are completely made up. Thermal, CA? Mrs. Neff? Sgt. Tapp? The Indio jail? Coachella Valley? Ricardo "Funky Cold" Medina?

brian, i welcome him from the 'this is going to be a glorious clusterfuck' perspective.

Meanwhile, it appears that the Eagles want a 2nd round pick for McNabb. Would it be General Managerial malpractice if the Vikings don't try to make this happen?

rob said...

not if fahhrrve is coming back

T.J. said...

I think "Brian" may have forgotten to use his pseudonym. If he needs one, I'm sure Geoff will let him use his wife's account.

I thought Favre retired. Even if he didn't, doesn't it make sense for the Vikings to lock in a QB like McNabb in an uncapped year? With a decend QB they should be SB contenders for the next 3-4 years, and Favre can't last that long. Can he?

T.J. said...

"I thought Favre retired."

Z-Man, that might be the silliest statement you've said all year.

T.J. said...

Also, McNabb has two years MAX left in the tank. So the 3-4 year window of contention doesn't apply.

zman said...

The Favre comment was half joking. I don't use emoticons so I guess you can't tell as blogger has no tone. The Vikings have all the pieces to be good so long as their QB is better than Tavaris Jackson. I think McNabb's impact there would be appreciably bigger than in a place like Oakland, Buffalo, Cleveland, et.

TR said...

McNabb to the Rams is the hot rumor and makes a lot of sense. The team is miserable. Having an average/above-average QB to man the ship while you get things fixed and incubate a youngster is a good way to go. If they add McNabb and an impact D-lineman (of which there are allegedly many) or trade the #1 pick down for extra picks, they could find themselves much more competitive next year. They could TRIPLE their win total. Let's see the Colts do that.

And why are we talking NFL right now? We got Sweet 16 action, MLB starting in 10 days and NHL/NBA playoffs starting soon!

I say no NFL draft talk until a couple days before the draft. And then no more NFL talk until July.

Dave said...

wow! i talk a little smack about the "rave truck" and i suffer two ad hominem attacks: greasetruck and drunken teaching . . .

i didn't realize how strongly you felt about the "rave truck."

T.J. said...

I love the Rave Truck almost as much as I love the Venga Bus (not the Bang Bus TR, I know that's your fav).

Mark said...

The Eagles want two first round picks for McNabb. And while I hate to disagree with TJ, I'm not sure why he's so sure that McNabb only has two more good years left...MAX. The guy hasn't exactly aged in dog years over the last 3-4.

And Coachella Valley is very real. It hosts the Coachella Music Festival each year...which is an awesome 3-4 days of good music and better drugs.

TR said...

C'mon The Teej. I LOVE the Venga Bus. And the Venga Boys, for that matter.

And I'm more of a Vajtastic Voyage guy than a Bang Bus guy.

T.J. said...

Mark, age and his propensity to have little nagging injuries each and every year make me hesitant about Donovan Worm Burner. However, I would trade for him too right now over drafting an unknown Clausen or Bradford, IF I felt my team's window was closing quickly.

T.J. said...

Tell me that "dog years" joke was somehow Vick-related?

zman said...

I heard about the Coachella festival for the first time a few months ago. Impressive collection of musicans. I still maintain that the article is a hoax. Toro Canyon? C'mon.

T.J. said...

So is Coachella where we will hold our second G:TB summit, after Jazz Fest?

Mark said...

Yes please.

TR said...

Toro means fatty tuna in sushi talk. "Valley of the Fatty Tuna" warrants a joke almost as much as Whitney's "I ate a Fat Bitch" comment.

zman said...

Remember that unagi joke? Turns out unagi is an eel.

TR said...

I think mirugai is the word I meant, Z-Man.

zman said...

I think that's right. And it's the source of my akagai joke from several posts ago.
