Sorry to bump such a great video, Past Dave, but Future Dave is a self-centered jackass, and he'd prefer that people watch his ghetto Rube Goldberg contraption rather than the professional one created by OK Go. And credit where it is due: Alex set up the upstairs train and built the card house, and Ian collected all the vehicles.
Also, this video is so much more G:TB than the good one.

i don't know why-- maybe it's still processing-- but the video will play on youtube but it's not playing yet on gheorghe . . .
now it works! so not only did we build a rube goldberg, but i figured out how to upload the video to youtube, which i haven't done in a long time . . .
Jesus fucking christ...when did we become season six of Lost? Right now I don't know if Dave is Smokey, Locke, Fake Locke or Jacob.Or all of the above.
That's some brilliant film work Dave. Almost as high quality as the GTB podcasts.
the podcasts would be so much better if you could see them.
that's style of camera work is called "cinema veridiot."
I get (subtle yet moironic) jokes.
Mayhugh...Ja Rule/Seagal movie?
i must be out of the loop. has everyone else in the world seen the other great ok go video, "here it goes again," where they dance on the treadmills?
it's awesome.
Why is Dave out of breath at the end of that video?
i wasn't out of breath, that was a sigh of relief . . .
now playing: vampire weekend unplugged on palladia.
what's a palladia?
and, dave, that treadmill video is phenomenal.
it's a cable channel rob. if you can't get a feed, maybe dave's kids can build you a satellite.
ah, i have one of those fios thingies.
i believe it's offered on fios. i highly recommend you add it to your rotation.
Palladia is tremendous. Every time I scan their offerings over the next week, I find a couple things to DVR: A Killers show, an Austin City Limits, the Vampire Weekend unplugged (which I thought was decent), Dave Matthews in concert, etc. Great channel.
I have to admit, I'm still trying to get into Vampire Weekend. Everyone seems to love them and their style should mesh with my tastes but I've been unable to really fall for them as of yet.
i'm the last person in america with a standard def television. palladia sounds great, but i can't see anything.
I too have standard def. And standard cable. No Tivo either. It drives Paci insane.
Teej - sorry, just visiting Gheorge for the first time in a couple of days. I believe the movie you're referencing with Steven Seagal and Ja Rule is Half Past Dead. If I remember correctly, they're cell mates in prison.
Not as good as Exit Wounds, with DMX, who has a little bit better acting chops.
I love the fact that the Z-Man's TeeVee technology is a source of consternation for a man that lives in another city.
Chez Z is Paci's base of NY operations. He's here every 4 weeks for a day or two as a stop-off on his monthly pilgrimage for Taylor ham.
Perspective is overrated.
"This day, the day that that bill was passed, will be remembered just as 9/11 was remembered in history" -- atty/developer Carl Paladino (R), making his case against health care (New York Post).
Paladino is trying to be the republican nominee for Gov. in NY. He has the backing of the Tea Party movement and by the looks of it is already getting his talking points from Glenn Beck. Awesome.
One more step towards Andrew Cuomo as gubinor in 2010. NY is F'ed as bad as CA.
I find it frustrating living in an era where calling something criminally stupid is simply not good enough.
Noise begets noise. The only way to be heard above it is to say somthing really stupid.
While the statment lacks perspective, it did get the NY Post and G:TB to run with it so Palidino and his ilk are emboldened to say more stupid crap.
My name is Bob Rumpson, and I'm running for president.
This is a big effing deal, by the way.
Indeed it is. I would have voted for Bob Rumpson. Andrew Shepard was a borderline socialst.
Andray Blatche is a bama.
From the Sports Bog...this story from Riggo got some AWL:
"My favorite memory from Redskins Park was Dexter Manley doing a live shot one day for Paul Berry on Channel 7. And it was cold, a winter day. And he was wearing a gorgeous fur coat. And Paul Berry said, 'Well, Dexter, that's a beautiful fur coat.'
"And Dexter said, 'Thanks! It's German Shepherd!'
