Dedicated to the premise that life would be better if we all took ourselves a little less seriously.

The Redskins are fucking retarded. Larry Johnson is a nightmare. And you're gonna pair him with the equally frustrating Clinton Portis? Wow.
houston, you need to lose.
I believe Mark's Gators might've played their way out of the Dance with their loss last night.
Thanks u Robert. My faith in the internets has been restored.
For those of who have not been paying attention because we thought the Wrens were NIT bound no matter what, is there a cheat sheet for who I should be rooting against today.
Go UTEP
Root against Houston, Miss St and Minnesota.
and illinois. but the wrens are going to the nit no matter what.
I'm not so sure about the Gators TJ. A win certainly would've allowed me to rest easier, no doubt, but I think Florida's still got a decent shot at grabbing a tourney bid.
Houston...where did this come from? Someone just got bumped to the NIT.
just had a conversation with seth davis via twitter. he told me the tribe had too many bad losses. so that should do it, then.
was in a restaurant with wife & boy during end of regulation of osu/ill game, no volume on tv - would that basket have counted if he had made it?
I shelled out the bucks for the Paquiao fight. In the tail end of the first undercard, and had two quick thoughts:
-The first fight has as one of the participants a guy named "Irish John Duddy", who hails from Ireland (lives in Jersey), has red hair, pasty skin, wears green trunks and gloves, and comes to the ring to House of Pain. I think he got lost on his way to a WWE tryout - walking stereotype.
-Boxing is quite a treasure trove of questionable-sounding comments; two quick examples:
"He's done a lot of good work on his [opponent's] body."
"Now Duddy seems to be catchin his wind and Medina starts to stroke him with those long right hands."
Yep, I'm smack-dab in the middle of a typical HBO PPV. 2nd undercard features a completely silent audience, and almost-completely-silent commentator booth, and two fighters who, working together, probably couldn't lift my sofa. $54.99 well spent. Pacquio had better do something exceptional.
As much as I wanted to see the Pacquiao fight, I couldn't bring myself to pay for this fight. So, this obviously means I'm going to miss something great tonight.
You know, if Da'Sean Butler could ever figure out how to come through in the clutch he'd be a pretty damn good player.
As likeable as they've made him out to be, Clottey is not going to let this be an interesting fight. He went to the Winky Wright school of defense in preparation for this fight. Manny can't hit clean, Clottey not throwing back. I'm hoping for a "Fan Man" interference at this point.
W&M featured in today's WaPo bubble story. GTB is influencing mainstream media.

bastards are trying to break our hearts.
I'm off to my first ST game of the year Nats v. Cardinals. Who says I hate baseball?
Oh right, that was me who said that...
tony shaver will be on espn gameday at 12:20 talking about the tribe's at-large chances. groundswell, people. groundswell.
I know this has been said many times, but I still feel the need to repeat it. If VaTech gets in and W&M doesn't, I'm going to be so pissed...they are NOT better than us nor will they fare better than us in the tourney.
rece davis: 'w&m has a better major ooc record than anyone'
Rob, ESPN is using your stuff
tony shaver: 'we've had more road wins than most teams have played road games.'
somewhere, jerry's shaking his head and saying, 'you guys really are futile'.
Tribe is not getting in, but the press can only help if they can keep the momentum going next year.
Time to root for Kentucky to fucking destroy msu and end the crazy talk about the boys from Starkville getting in.
Sorry to break up the W&M wishing/hoping against hope session but I've had one hell of a day:
- Went to ST game with my old man to watch Stausburg and Wainwright start for their respective teams.
- Had the best seats in the stadium, right next to the Cardinal dugout. I literally could've reached out and touched LaRussa (not that I'd want to) and got to see Strausburg close up for a solid 3 innings. He was as expected, his fastball is sick and his curve had me (and half the crowd in our section) oohing and aahing on a couple occasions.
-Overall, just a beautiful day at the ballpark. Baseball isn't all bad all the time...I guess.
- Got home just in time to see the after effects of my younger dog being attacked by my neighbor's dog. Not pretty. Multiple puncture wounds, pretty bloody and a dog so scared that he threw up twice afterwards.
- Finally got the dog cleaned up, only to turn around and have one of my toilets overflow and (halfway) flood one our bathrooms.
All that, and I haven't even seen the brackets yet.
Sooooo...Florida's in the tourney. Hell...motherfucking...yeah.
