Adventures in Creative Governance

Courtesy of Think Progress, the text of California Governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar's letter to the State Assembly explaining his veto of a piece of legislation:

As you might guess, this tickles us just a little bit.

"Kicks the can down the alley"?

Reading through the good governor's message, I'm wondering if
our little blog might follow suit with this level of equal
boorishness and cleverness.

So, I think every comment for this particular post should
uniformly present first-letter messages and insults, if you're
capable of such skill; if not, please know that you can
keep lurking along silently like Dan did before his
sack dropped.

What is best in life?

For Teej and Z-Man:

Good Yanks blog. Lots of posts every day, with little fluff/crap.

Is there any baseball on tonight?

And Andre Agassi was a meth head?

Twice he didn't.

This may change my whole view of Agassi. I need to read the book.

New Anroid HTC phone...still figuring out the touchscreen. For all you gadget dudes out there. Google wins again.

Dennis said...

That's AnDroid....touchscreen is killing me.

Doesn't sound like Agassi was a meth head. Sounds like he tried it once, it was awesome, and then he got caught. Lied to get out of it (the idiotic "I drank my friend's soda"), came clean 12 years later.

maybe you can tell me how your
only-present-first-letter messages
ruse is working out, whit.
or did you stop doing it
now?

and you sadly
messed it up on
attempt number one anyway,
toolbox.
even i managed to
unleash a try, albeit a very
rough cut

I read that he used meth dozens of times. He hurt his wrist, plummeted in the rankings, was miserably married, and said "fuck it" and started doing meth.

Tough as it may be to create a witty, pithy, and original "initial letter" post, I expect more from this outstandingly well-educated crew of miscreants, lazy though you may be. Perhaps one day your skills shall equal mine.

zman said...

The "preview" button sucks. As does my initial letter comment.

totmd, indeed, z-man.

This seems like one of the days we'll all gloss over when ESPn finally produces a G:TB: SportsCentury.

Or maybe some of us are doign meth and will admit to it 12 years later?

Mark said...

One more thing: I wish my parents had been as gullible as the ATP. First, that one guy gets off on a failed cocaine test by saying he "must've kissed a girl in a Miami club who had done some" and now we hear that Agassi got a pass on his failed meth test by saying he drank from somebody else's drink?

Jesus, is there no excuse too flimsy for the hermaphrodites at the ATP?

Frankly, it's Blogger's fault. I
understand that people's screens
can vary in size, but it shouldn't
keep people from seeing my wit.

Oh, well. It was a dumb idea
for me to propose in the
first place. never mind.

i was just about to write something...i'll go back to lurking silently.

You said it, Dan. (get it?)

d-train said...

no. please explain.

Everyone who works for Ford should jam themselves.

I'll be watching Top Chef in about 36 minutes, so I'll jam myself too.

And Chase Utley was in Jan Hammer's dance posse.

Lee at 95 pitches through 7 innings. Will be interesting to see how far he goes.

Mark said...

I'm gonna go ahead and guarantee that Greg's comment was really penned by TJ. Somebody get that kid his Blackberry already.

Whitney said...

Greg is TJ. Finkle is Einhorn.

And Cliff Lee is Sandy Koufax.
