It's a good move. Our alma mater has been teed up for good things way more than right now and gacked them up repeatedly, so chances are our lads will soil themselves in the quest for a first-round bye.

'twas a nice win for our boys against the defending conference champs. nathan knight scored 30+ for the third consecutive game. and matt milon made six threes on the way to 27 points. someone recently wrote that a return to form by milon would be key to any success the tribe might have down the stretch. that guy is pretty smart.
tribe probably favored to win their final three league games. so they'll go 1-2. my opinion on this team hasn't changed. it ain't our year.
Care to make it interesting?
*if we win out, we get to 10-8 in the conference, which would likely be good for the 4th seed in the tournament.
*if that happens, we'd almost certainly see top-seeded hofstra in the semis. they'd beat us.
*if, by some miracle, we get past hofstra, our historic nemesis northeastern would probably be waiting in the final. they'd also beat us.
but, no, i don't bet against the tribe, my man.

Sitting on a beach in the DR at a Nickelodeon resort, might be like FLAG. Wife doesn't drink, as most of you know. Thankfully the English gent next to me doesn't mind day drinking. These all inclusive places sort mean you have to drink your fill, right?

A buddy of mine scored us a couple bottles of EH Taylor at a ma and pa liquor store in Lake City, Fl last week. Three bottles on the shelf, they let him buy 2. Akin to seeing a unicorn and the Easter Bunny on the way to work.
Drinking a jai alai in hotel room. I did bring a flask full of Garrison Brothers TX bourbon, my latest bourbon club delivery. Review forthcoming.
And pardon the dad pride but our kid won his 50 fly today at state meet. Throw in a 3rd for 100 brst and well, a day that won’t be forgotten.

EH Taylor is some good shit. First time I had it was at some fancy bourbon bar in Brooklyn. They were all out of Pappy but the bartender pulled out some rare EH for me. Strong to quite strong.
I don’t know EH. And I didn’t know there were bourbon clubs. Wife and I gave up a wine club a couple years ago.

I have a bottle of EH Taylor that I received as a gift. Haven’t opened it yet. I will likely need to on Sunday morning when I return home from a Cub Scout camp-in at AMNH. Lights out at midnight then another 100-150 overweight middle aged dudes like me snoring and farting in the room with the whale on the ceiling while random kids wake up and get lost on the way to the bathroom.
Much respect for Cub Scout dads.
You’re fucked, Zman. I did that once. We slept right under the Squid & the Whale. Kids will be awful in the two hours into bedtime b/c it’s so late. You’ll then go onto a cot that is miserably uncomfortable. As soon as the lights go down, there will be simultaneous snores and farts from the crowd. My advice is to bring in a blow-up mattress and get there early to get a good spot.
Most importantly, get an indica edible from me before you leave.
home early from a scotch-tasting party 'cause we're on the road in the morning for a jmu tour for my kidlet. drank some ardbeg, balvenie, jura, hibiki, bruichladdich, among others. i don't love scotch, but i'm finally figuring out what i like.
Jura is no good IMHO. I’m no expert but the peaty stuff is good. FOGTB JCKOS gave me a bottle of Tallisker Storm once. It’s like drinking brine from a peat bog. It’s neat.
Good news: zson has a stomach bug so no camp-in for us.

My local brewpub has their annual Belgian beer fest this weekend so we met a bunch of friends for lunch. Unibroue is the featured brewery this year so they were giving out a limited number of Unibroue glasses. I ended up with the A Tout Le Monde Megadeth edition glass. It’s pretty sweet.
Unibroue is dope. I celebrate their entire catalog.
There was an absurd amount of Unibroue on tap today. The bar kicks off the Belgian Beer fest each year with a beer pairing dinner on Thursday. The head brewer for Unibroue hosted this year’s dinner.
Unibroue’s Fin Du Monde is the shit.
Wales v England was an outstanding rugby match today. The Welsh have come back mightily in the second half twice this year. The nail in the coffin try today was one of the best I’ve ever seen.

Out of respect to the crybabies here, I wanted to come clean and say the wife and I watched the Mr. Rogers doc twice this week. We watched it Thurs night and it got a bit dusty. We watched it again tonight with our boys (11 and 9 y/o). The younger one fell asleep shortly after the scene where there is a photo of a guy’s ass. But the 11 y/o stuck it out and he was clearly affected by it. He could not believe the scenes about the protests for Rogers’ funeral. Wasn’t easy to explain the Westboro Baptist Chuch view to him, but he’s at the age to learn it.
The doc is profound. Thx to you crybabies that mentioned it months ago.
That doc was showing on one of the channels on our recent cruise and I watched about a half hour. What I saw was quite good. Will definitely watch it in its entirety.
