Annual G:TB Culture Post

Redskins tight end Chris Cooley is opening an art gallery featuring his pottery and paintings down the block from my house. The grand opening is Friday. At least he's got something to take his mind off the season.

This was legitimate up until they showed pots with "47" on them, at which point it became nonsense.

"It’ll be one of the coolest galleries to ever hit Loudoun."

Where do I begin?

I think Mayhugh was balking at the split infinitive.

you guys think craig james is happy that his employer is running a documentary called 'pony excess'?

Kelly Tripucka works for the Knicks. His stache and jheri curl are long gone and he is steadily morphing into Frankenstein. He's become very creepy-looking. You 1980's NBA fans may appreciate this.

I will not miss Gruden when/if he goes back to coaching.

I do miss the New York Jets. Anybody seen them tonight? At least they don't have any other tough road games. Going to Chicago and Pittsburgh in December will be a piece of cake.

And Wes Welker lets me know it's time for sleep.

Very angry, very irrational callers on WFAN last night insisted that Nick Folk must be cut because he missed a 53 yard FG. Of all the things that went wrong for the Jets last night, who focuses on a missed 53 yarder?

The Knicks have won 10 of their last 11 games? The New York Knicks?

the teej - i bet you just heard that on cowherd. i too was very surprised by that stat and was more suprised i had not heard anything from gtb nation on this.

I'd guess that's due to not wanting to jinx things. It's actually the New York Necks though.

Dan, I read it on the interwebs...I wouldn't listen to Colin Cowherd if my life depended on it.

Um, I do believe I posted that the Knicks had similar stats to the Heat. I also posted a ways back that the Knicks had fallend to 3-8.

Connect the dots, people.

By "stats" I meant Win/Loss. And while we're fluffing the Knicks, we should point out that Landry Fields has been the 3rd best rookie in the league this year, after Griffin and Wall. He's putting up similar numbers to Cousins, but with much better defense and much less crazy.

Fields is 4th in rookie scoring at 11ppg and 2nd in rebounding at 7 rpg. He's a great individual and team defender as well. Amazing pick for that team in the 2nd round. He certainly doesn't have the ceiling of Favors or Cousins, but he can be a Trevor Ariza type with a better offensive game.

Shanahan on Haynesworth: "[He]repeatedly refused to cooperate with our coaching staff in a variety of ways over an extended period of time."

Yep, that nebulous statement is sure to hold up when he comes after them for the pay.
