Hello again to the O.C. I have been a deadbeat fan for much of this season, but after last night, I am all in again. I hope the Cohens and the Coopers can forgive me. Thank god Fox has nothing else to air this summer but reruns.
Oh yeah, farewell to Reggie Miller, who got a terrific ovation from the fans last night and a not-too-often-seen display of respect from the opposing team and coach in his final game. Classy move by nomad Larry Brown and the Pistons last night. I had no problem with that.

Wicked bunch of scalpahs:
BOSTON - John "Sam" Sapiel gets an uneasy feeling when he crosses Boston city limits, where the full-blooded Penobscot Indian is technically a persona non grata. An archaic law has forbidden American Indians from setting foot in the city since 1675, when settlers were at war with area tribes. Although the law hasn't been enforced for centuries, the fact that it still exists is a lingering source of anger for American Indians.
It's still better than that law that requires ducks to wear pants.
In the Commonwealth of VA, spitting on a sea gull is not tolerated.
I actually heard that it's illegal for women be in public without a corset in Norfolk.
YOU ARE CORRECT SIR!
Women must wear a corsette after sundown and be in the company of male chaperone.

This made me chuckle:

The Dannon Frusion Smoothie guy pops up in every radio commercial break I hear...
"Trade in your breakfast for a Dannon Frusion Smoothie!"
It was just my luck to grow up in a town that didn't offer the usual hurdle to young men of having figure out unhooking a bra, but undoing a corset. Trust me . . . it sucked.
And that Dannon offer discriminates against people like me who don't eat breakfast. I have nothing to barter.
The Twins have invited actor Kevin Costner, who starred in the movie "Field of Dreams," to the Metrodome for their June 29 "Moonlight" Graham promotion against Kansas City. The date is the 100th anniversary of Archibald Graham's only major league baseball appearance with the New York Giants. Graham was from Chisholm, Minn.
