Knowing where our bread is buttered

Many moons ago, this little corner of the blogosphere enjoyed unprecedented attention for posting Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory's horrifically bad first pitch. And we even had some more fun at Mayor Mallory's expense via Danny Devito's mound excursion.

Well, now I'm happy to say we are back...with this entry from Charlie Crist:

I'm no political junkie, but one might say that pitch is a pretty accurate description of his campaign so far. (is that even true? geoff, rob, wanna help me here?)

I know...a tad worried, but not that worried.

Wait, Danimal, isn't Charlie Crist gallivanting around your state right now? What do you and Mark have to say for yourselves?

Meredith Viera did a better job. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emIyNHqoQkY

Maura Tierney threw a legit pitch in that clip.

that he is the teej, that he is. unfortunately missed their debate the other night which was apparently pretty entertaining. gettin' dirty. going to be an interesting month...curious to know what geoff thinks about that one....

The Teej needs an oversized novelty hat (it's funny because it's bigger than a regular sized hat), to where while doing a Wiz-esque strut whilst proclaiming "I'm the Teej! I'm the Teej!!"

His pitch went way right, while his campaign has strayed left toward Independent land.

can't view this at work-- does it rvial gary dell'abate's abortive first toss?

It's not the worst first pitch you've ever seen...but it's in the Top 10.

How did the announcer not -- stale as it might be, we're talking gut instinct here -- blurt, "Juuuust a bit outside"?

Cool Google home page offering today. Happy would-be 70th to Dr. Winston O'Boogie.

Just came back from the cafeteria downstairs. The guy in front of me at the counter goes to pay for his sandwich, and takes out a velcro wallet. He was approximately 35-40 years old. Am I missing something?

At the gym this morning the TV's we awash with the normal network morning shows, sportscenter, Squwak Box, Morning Joe, ect. Suddenly, a guy has one of the floor staff change MSNBC to the Church of Creflo Dollar. I as not aware of Rev. Dollar's ministry until this morning. I have been advised that the good lord works in mysterious ways, but I am rather skeptical that any all knowing, all powerful diety uses a guy named Creflo Dollar as his medium. Especially since Creflo apparently shops at Charles Oakley's used suit store.

Didn't Creflo Dollar just release a mix tape with Chiddy Bang and Nipsey Hussle?

I finally got done working and wanted to ctach up on the afternoon's comments... but wait...

"That's not fair. That's not fair at all. There was time now. There was all the time I needed...! It's not fair!"

Take one dormant comments section. Comment on dormancy. Add in a deeply obscure reference to a 1959 episode of "The Twilight Zone." Stir.

Yeah, this is about the rockin good party pie that I thought I might create.

Oh, well, I have no choice but to go drink for 7 or 8 hours. Cheers.

I would have replied but I broke my glasses and now I can't read the comments.

and mark, i've got a really nervous feeling about the tide's trip to columbia. this game means errrrything to the spurriers. talk me down.

anyone else as shocked as i am that calhoun is dirty?

Mark said...

Calhoun is both dirty and a huge prick. Neither should be surprising.

As for Bama, I feel like everyone wants South Carolina to be able to upset Alabama. Can't see it. Spurrier's going to get pissed at Garcia at some point and yank him. And probably put him back in, and then maybe yank him again. Bama pulls away and wins by double digits. I'd love to be wrong and see Spurrier get the upset (I do still love the OBC) but I doubt it.

And Les Miles was just interviewed live at The Swamp. Fuck me, is he one dumb son of a bitch.

this is some hideous playoff baseball. and aroldis chapman nearly killed chase utley.

Clarence said...

Hideous is right. With the Braves' comeback last night, my rooting interests in these playoffs are, like David Wright in a pivotal doubleheader, 1-7. The baseball gods are pretty fucking pissed at me, so I'm surmising.
