Who You Gonna Believe, Me, or Your Lying Ears?

If you were drifting off to sleep during the Republican response to President Obama's speech last night, you could be forgiven for waking up this morning and wondering which of these two same-sounding gentlemen spoke on behalf of the GOP.

it appears others had the same thought:

that can't bode well for jindal's presidential aspirations.

The GOP is all fired up about this guy, but when you break it down, he's kind of a tool. They're saying that he's young like Barry, that he's a minority like Barry, and that he can be a motivator like Barry.

Politics aside, Barry is a cool dude. Bobby Jindal is a tool. His speech was painful last night. He looks like he JUST left a public speaking class. A public speaking class where he got bad marks for cadence and hand gestures. He's 37 years old. We went to W&M with people like him. And we hated those kinds of people.

I can't wait for the Redskins to sign what's left of Marvin Harrison. I'm also excited that I get to watch Marbury derail the Celtics on a nightly basis.

The Celts also picked up Coolio's taller twin brother, who goes by the stipperific name Mikki Moore.

OMG--I sent my sister the EXACT same message last night. She missed it b/c she was on the House floor for the big speech.

So your sister is listening to the President speak, and you send her a text about a backup center recently cut by the Sacramento Kings? That's awesome.

I visited Bobby Jindal's Wikipedia page in hopes of seeing what his musical tastes were, but alas, apparently music is not a big enough part of his platform. (Strike 1.)

I did find this fast fact about him, though: "He became the first person not of European ethnicity to serve as governor of Louisiana since P.B.S. Pinchback during Reconstruction." (Note: Contrary to what I thought, PBS Pinchback was not a Sesame Street character.)

Maybe we'll run into him at JazzFest and find out more. He's probably a Gospel Tent guy; we won't see him at Fais-Do-Do.

Bud Selig makes $18.35 million (total compensation) a year as commissioner of MLB. I'd be curious to see a copy of his performance review file.
