Basketball is back. Basketball is fun.

I doubt any of you stayed up late enough last night to enjoy the Clippers-Warriors game. If you had known what you'd miss out on you might have reconsidered. Steph Curry dropped 38 point and 7 assists on the Clippers while shooting 9-14 from 3. 9-14. That's stupid. Most humans couldn't go 9-14 from the NBA 3 point line if they were locked in a gym by themselves for an entire day. With that said, Steph Curry might not be human.

As impressive as Curry's performance was, it couldn't stand up to the masterful show put on by Chris Paul. What did Paul do? Oh, just 42 points and 14 assists and 7 steals. For some perspective on that, nobody's ever done that. Nobody. Not in the 40 years since the NBA started keeping track of steals. Every young point guard should be forced to watch Chris Paul tapes. Nobody controls the game like he does. He could average 25 points a game if he wanted to. Instead, he's just the most complete point guard we've seen in a generation. And he's pretty good at throwing alley oop lobs too. Check out this sequence from last night.

  1. That second alley-oop is ridiculous. Paul just basically heaves the ball toward the rim, knowing Blake can jump from almost anywhere and still dunk.

  24. Greetings from Austin Texas.

Friday weddings suck (I know, my first one was on a Friday) but we are making the most of it by getting overserved on 6th Street after the wedding and heading heading to the UT game.
