I've come across what I think is some good new music lately. No one else besides maybe Mark shares my love for Action Bronson so I won't tell you about his new free mixtape, and I think everyone will tune out as soon as I suggest you check out Bass Drum of Death. But I seem to recall that a few of you liked Broken Bells so you'll be interested in this new single "Holding On For Life" from their upcoming album "After the Disco."
I also seem to recall that a few of you like Mrs. Harris, so here's a Broken Bells/Mrs. Harris intersecting video.
Oh, to be an olive. Don't get too obsessed with Joan's turn as video vixen, else you'll wind up like this guy.

Bass Drum of Death is good, worth a listen. My wife and I saw Neko Case last Friday night. Great show. I'd tell you all to go out and see her but it was the last night of the tour. So there is next time.
And the new Hospitality tune sounds a bit like The New Pronographers ... go listen: https://soundcloud.com/mergerecords/hospitality-i-miss-your-bones
Squeaky cosigns BDoD! We need to figure out more ways to use the Joan Harris tag.
On today's edition of "Overheard Conversations" we have a guy walking on the sidewalk speaking loudly into his Bluetooth, "No man, I saw a video of the surgery, it's no joke; they just cut your tits right off and then sew them back on."
Rob Ford, Mayor of Toronto, now admitted crack user.
Still ain't got nothing on Marion Barry.
The Rob Ford story is another incredible triumph for Gawker.
zman is on familiar terms with BDoD?
drunk on surly furious in minneapolis. chuck klosterman book or my current state of being?
richie incognito seems like a pretty good dude
i'd like to apologize to the gtb community. i had the rob ford crack smoking mayor story months ago and never got around to posting it. i'll try to do better.
Um, is Cucinelli going to be the next governor?
