    fell asleep with the score 28-6. woke up in time to watch the niners two-point conversion fail, because my wife was yelling at the television. that was some bizarro world shit right there. fell back asleep and found out the final score this morning. finally reentering the land of the living this morning.

    Ray Lewis has to be the ultimate example of the disconnect between fans and the national media.

    The guy is basically universally revered by all national media sources - in-game broadcasts, pre-game shows, national print, ESPN radio. And he's basically universally despised by fans and any fan-driven content (message boards, blogs etc).

    He's a perfect personification for the rise of the blog and alt-e-media (Deadspin, etc).
