Sometimes one's life is a song

My life has been like this a lot recently:

And sometimes it has been like this:

But some times, some moments that seem more and more fleeting in my rush between work and struggles of parenthood, it is like this:

And I guess that's okay. Have a great Friday. Even you, Winter Storm Nemo.

squeaky, you hunkered down for snowmaggedon (it)?

Squeaky said...

Yeah. It's been snowing since 10AM and only have about two inches. Expected to get three feet by 2PM tomorrow.

Son is looking forward to building tunnels in the snow. He's only 38" tall. So he probably won't have to stoop too much to play in the tunnels.

As soon as my 4:30 conference call is done, I plan to start drinking heavily.

Is Dr. James Andrews the only authority on sports-related knee injuries? Becuse it seems like a bit of a monopoly. Share the wealth, jimmy.

And Squeaky, it's a conference call. They can't see you drinking. I've taken conf calls while in bed, on the hopper, in the nude, and yes, while slugging beers.

Probably why you still work there and I don't.

So around town I've been getting a little of the backstory on Coach Taylor's dismissal from the Monarchs. (While Whitney was on his way home, I got a call and made last call at the bar we boozed at after the wedding.)

Apparently the bars on Colley Avenue are going to take a huge hit after this. Many, many stories of barfly activity, drunkenness, and general all-around merriment, but this season put it all under the microscope. And you can't hit a bar where tons of undergrads go right before a slurry radio interview. Such is life.

Cheers!

in theory, now that he's not coaching, he should be able to spend more time on colley avenue, no?

Crazy story out of South Florida (shocking, I know): Alabama's commit Rueben Foster's Dad was arrested by Federal Marshall's today after being on the run for the past 16 years. He shot Reuben's Mom and Reuben (who was 2 at the time) and went to jail in 1995.He escaped in 1996 and had been on the run ever since.

Dave once advised them to call it "The '69 Sound" but the band declined.

Terrible overuse of apostrophe's in my 6:30 comment. I blame sobriety.
