and barring a miracle last-minute post from Mark I was concerned we wouldn't have a proper forum for the usual G:TB-related nonsense...so, in that vein, let the season begin with this hastily chosen clip:

ReplyDeleteHmmm...no.
ReplyDeleteIf you have a moment, read any of the press accounts of Randy Quaid's recent arrest. He might be the craziest man alive.

ReplyDeleteNo NBA post from me. Though I have been posting some of my thoughts on the NBA season via the twitter machine.
ReplyDeletethat mosh picture is like the pictures in harry potter. except for the moshing.
ReplyDeleteTonight's game will be the most hyperbolic sporting event of all-time.
ReplyDeleteWanted to let everybody know I caved and bought into the '09-10 Knicks. They have a few actual players they like, instead of a rotating crew of salaries they added/dropped every few weeks. Me thinks will be juuuust good enough to sneak into the playoffs. And I'm already developing a man crush on Landry Fields.
ReplyDeleteAnd to Geoff 's comment on crazy actors, I loved the report about Charlie Sheen's recent "episode," where he trashed a hotel room. His agent blamed it on an allergic reaction. I guess he's allergic to sobriety. If he keeps this up, John Cryer will be "Hiding Out" all over again.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'll be here all week.
hannah storm...love the boots
ReplyDeletei'll have what randy quaid is having, but a much smaller dose. the best golfer in hollywood too. now you know.
ReplyDeleteheard the sheen story - charlie being charlie.
anyone see the show, "billy the exterminator" on a&e? i think geoff should put it on the tv show review list, despite it not being new (at least i don't think it is)
ReplyDeletequite a juggernaut, these heat
ReplyDeleteEnjoying this early Celts whooping of Heat...
ReplyDeleteCrowd booed the hell out of Bron Bron in the intro. The question is if any city besides Miami won't boo him vigorously.
ReplyDeleteDanimal...you'd take Randy Quaid over Jack Wagner? Or were you limiting it to people who have appeared in stuff that gainfully employed folks watch?

ReplyDeletethat guitar solo is fucking SOLID.
ReplyDeletegeoff-wagner obviously very good and he knows it. FIGJAM probably started with him. both quaids very good...i guess it depends on who's telling the stories.
It's scary how much Ray Allen and his mom look alike.
ReplyDeleteJeannie Buss looks like Stifler's mom from American Pie
ReplyDeleteArtest standing next to Stern with a mic in his hand. I think Commish David is a wee bit nervous.
ReplyDeleteAnd Jeannie Buss is still hanging in there, although I bet she had to spend $500 to make her hair look like that.
so based on my calculations, there are 200+ asst coaches in the nba
ReplyDeleteI really don't like the Lakers, but I'm enjoying this ceremony.
ReplyDeleteI agree Shlara. The players are doing a great job. Stern is looking happy. And Jeannie is happy she didn't have to kiss Pau Gasol.
ReplyDeleteI do feel bad for the one Laker assistant who got skipped. He's got to be bitter the equipment manager got a shout-out, but he didn't.
i'm actually in houston right now. i thought the game was here.
