G:TB superfan KQ weighs in this morning with a relevant and topical content suggestion. This is brilliant on a number of levels.

  2. the relevance comes from the g:tb connection to that ad. anyone other than whit know what it is?

  3. Didn't the little kid at the end of the commercial grow up to become a Lammie who returned to Unit M every homecoming to fight the Whaler in the pit?

  4. the little boy at the end of the commercial is chun rhee, erstwhile (and lifetime) pi lam and all around badass. you wouldn't know the badass part by looking at him, as he's a gentle soul and not all that big. but he's a badass nonetheless.

  5. when chun got drunk, he would roundhouse kick the beer you were holding-- a cool move, but he was the first to admit that kung fu only works if you have space-- it was useless for the typical lammie sucker punching testicle grabbing moshfest.

  6. I'm curious that G:TB would not recognize today for the great day that it is...15 years ago today, OJ was getting chased in his Bronco during the NBA finals.

  10. That's one of the great all-time days. Rangers Stanley Cup parade (I didn't go, but still...). I seem to remember going to a pool party and 2 dates with 2 different girls that day. Then getting back to somebody's house and seeing the OJ thing. It was overwhelming.

  12. It's Piscopo's birthday today!? I'm gonna have to go out and rent Wise Guys again. He was great as Moe Dickstein.

  13. I had just gotten home from a team basketball camp at Florida Southern (which is located in Lakeland, surpisingly) when I discovered came home to discover the whole OJ fiasco. I ended up skipping a party I was supposed to attend and hanging out with my Dad. We brought a second TV into the room so we could monitor the OJ/AC chase and watch the NBA Finals. I was 16. Fuck me, I am old.

  14. Carpenter and Dibble are going to make sure I actually regret getting to watch my Yanks tonight.

  15. Dibble thinks "Asia" is a country.

  16. Since when is Corey Patterson on the Nats?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Asia's not a country. It's a badass 80's band!

  18. yankees have the nats right where they want 'em, teej. no chance nats' bullpen holds this lead.

  19. I don't usually watch the same baseball games as Rob and Teej, but that's the case tonight. And I have to be honest, it feels pretty special.

  21. Matsui's not afraid to swing at the first pitch when his team is down 2 in the 8th.

  22. Damon can thank that shorter right field wall for that homer. He and his agent are going to be very happy this off-season when he enters the free agent market on the heels of a 35 HR season.

  26. Sign me up for Acta to Flushing. He actually understands numbers, which would be massive improvement on anybody the Mets have had in management...ever? Well, at least for a long time.
