Summer's Here!

It's sort of Les Coole and The Cukes, in that it's comprised of Les Coole and two high school chums who helped make the Cukes' tune The Coliseum.

We decided we will come up with a different band name for future issuances from this particular trio. Nothing exciting was coming to mind. When a particular track we'd created reminded one of us of Jane's Addiction and another of Grandmaster Flash, we went with Peripheral Flash. The name doesn't matter. The music does.

Because summer's here!!

I dig it. Kind of an early Pink Floyd meets the Beach Boys sort of vibe.

Sounds heavily influenced by Greasetruck if you ask me.

Quite a choke-a-thon in the Spain-Switzerland PKs.

It’s a new meaning for “I’m like Switzerland”

It appears highly likely that I’ll be in Denver for work in September. So it took TR moving out west for us to finally meet. Yes, I’m making TR meet me out when I’m in town.

Nice, Mark! LMK as the date approaches. Just don’t get your hopes up, I’m known to underwhelm…

I’m fairly underwhelming as well, TR. But I figure we can make due based on the Colorado laws of worst comes to worst.

saw some professional women’s soccer in my hometown this evening. washington spirit hosted chicago red stars under the lights in leesburg. several uswnt players, jj watt’s wife, and a shitload of talent on display in front of 2,500 or so, including several hundred kids from our club. good times.

That’s a really cool thing for the kids in your club to witness. The next step (and I’m not trying to be a dick) is getting kids who can’t afford your club to attend those matches and join your clubs and see that sort of thing. We have the same issue in our Lilly white beachside town. Great program. As inclusive as it should be? Nah.

not a dick at all. that’s a huge priority for us. we do free training at title one elementary schools in the county and partner with a really amazing club in the district that’s providing opportunities for kids that wouldn’t otherwise have them. way more to do, for sure, but that’s one of my big focus areas as a leader in the club.
