Live from the offices of NPR in Washington, DC, a Gheorghemas concert was recorded last week celebrating 25 years since the release of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Lots of fun little touches here, including stringed instrument accompaniment, RZA adjusting on the fly to reflect support for the #metoo movement, Young Dirty Bastard taking his father's place, and a poetic interlude.

Great post Dave . . . I'm going to personally send this to Trump and make him take back that enemy of the people bullshit. this is a tale of the american past that so many people wish for: a steady and meaningful job that you're passionate about and also pays the bills (and doesn't require several advanced degrees and a zillion dollars in student loans).

I have been binging Hip Hop Evolution on Netflix. Have half of the last episode of Season 2 left to watch. Caught 2 episodes today on my not-at-all-bleary 6 AM flight to Houston.
It is so good. Must watch for you all. Fills in lots of gaps and gives great context on the 1975-1995 hip hop era. It also makes you want to go out and buy a shit-ton of old school funk, soul and jazz records.
Hard to ever root for any Ivy, but is fun to watch Penn stick it to Nova.
Hip Hop Evolution is dope, so much so that it has TR diggin’ in the crates.
