Dedicated to the premise that life would be better if we all took ourselves a little less seriously.
saw this in a yauch essay on pitchfork. i love it immensely:The Beastie Boys are ultimately a celebration of friendship. You find people you care about and who care about you, and you make a community with them. The Beasties, both as a group and as individuals, embodied this ideal. sounds familiar
i guess in the end that sums up the band: brilliant, with no lead singer.
Rob - regarding your twitter comment earlier this evening, I strenuously disagree. This moon is pretty super.
The Beasties cut across multiple listening audiences. It is awesome to see all the comments as an influence from an extremely diverse group of musicians.
