Escape

Some while back, I wondered about the mental strain of living in a really, really small home. But ever since then, I've harbored a bit of a secret desire for my very own Rupert Holmes-approved getaway. This weekend's Washington Post Magazine featured a story on the increasing use of sheds as sanctuaries, which eventually led me to Tiny House Design, a website that celebrates, well, tiny houses. And now I'm obsessed with the idea. Some guys have midlife crises and buy motorcycles. I want a tiny house.

So if anyone has a couple of acres out in the country they're not using, please let me know. I won't take up much room - few hundred square feet, tops. And I'll be fairly quiet, too.

You stay classy Braylon:

http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=5598872

With Braylon and Santonio both playing for new contracts, Santonio's agent just got a bit of a boner, knowing his thug client just moved up in the horse race to be re-signed.

The awkward part will be when the Jets come up with a reason to have him in uniform this week b/c they are short receivers. Or it will mean the return of LC - Laveraneous and his oft-concussed melon.

wow. did not know that. saw him go down on sunday in that thriller in san diego. he was playing well too...he drove them all the way down the field and delivered david g a field position even he couldn't f up enabling him to throw his 1 td pass against his 4 int's...

The Bills have run the fewest plays of any team in the league. They average a league-worst 3.3 yards per play. The Ravens are second-worst at 3.9 yards per play. I could go on for another 1,000 words regarding the putrescence of the Buffalo offense, but I'll wait a few more weeks to get a larger sample size that truly reflects how abominable this offense is.

The Seahawks ran 5 fewer plays than the Bills, so I'm wrong as usual. But the Seahawks have a win.

zdawg - jags/bills should be entertaining if not competitive...29th in pass d...but 20th in rush d....a great combination.

Is the Bilbo photo link there to mock Rob's height or The Teej's hairy feet?

Igor, you talking to me?

Help for the other guys.

Eh, I'm just turning that last corner into surly, old curmudegon.

T-minus 9 hours until I leave my thirties behind, and I fear the world doesn't have as much forgiveness for fortysomething moronic goofballs as it does for thirtysomething moronic goofballs. We'll find out.

will you be more pissy tomorrow than today if i choose not to embed a link?
i think someone has a case of the tuesday's.

There's a little late-setting hangover working as well. Three Jamo's on the rocks, a Newcastle, and 6 or 7 glasses of some unnamed pinot noir my dad ordered. Gonna need happy hour today.

Squeaky said...

I think Igor needs more flair. That will solve the case of his Tuesdays.

d-train said...

i can spare some flair...as in....ric flair

"Space Mountain may be the oldest ride in the park, but it has the longest line!"

"Washboard baby! WHOOOO!!!!!"

whigor...i'd probably stick to line 1 unless you have abS...plural, rather than ab.

The Bilbo photo is a nod to rob's height, TJ's crackpipe, Dave's hirsutism, Igor's belly, my rockin' wardrobe, and the general "tiny house" theme to this post.

Squeaky said...

This would definitely scare the crap out of me.

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. That's real?

Squeaky said...

Third picture is really crazy. And it's on the internet, TJ, of course it's real.

Happy almost birthday Igor. May you be traded for Quentin Coryatt all over again.

Sorry Mark.

The hobbit image is also a nod to Mark's microphallus.

as an added bonus, the tiny house pictured was designed and built by fog:tb jashe elliott - it's his retreat in ridgeway, co.
