I submit YES (I know Rob will agree)...Never before have sports entertainment and C-rate pro hoops mixed in such a spectacular fashion (this is going to be even better than that night Swint and I saw the GLOW girls pummel the Mystics). What the hell is this over-caffeinated fool talking about? Check it out...
On March 5, 2006, the Maryland Nighthawks will be hosting a game against the Harlem Strong Dogs at their home arena at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD. John Rambo and other wrestlers from the NWL/HOUSE of PAIN will serve as "ceremonial security guards" at the March 5th game, and the Nighthawks will distribute NWL/HOUSE of PAIN information.
Hmm, not very interesting, unless you're a huge NWL fan (Jerry?). Hold on, here's the super scintillating sensational part...
BREAKING NEWS: The Nighthawks have announced today that former Washington Wizards 7”7 Center Gheorghe Muresan will be suiting up for the Nighthawks for this Sunday’s March 5 6PM home game.
That's right folks, "FINALLY......THE GHEORGHE.....HAS RETURNED.....TO ROCKVILLE!!!"

i'd go, but jon stewart's hosting the oscars that night, and i love me some brokeback mountain.
wins by texas a&m over texas and florida state over duke don't help the plucky little caa.
You know, that's total bullshit too, because Texas A&M hadn't beat a single quailty opponent all year until last night...and don't try to tell me the win over fellow bubble compatriot Colorado counts. The Big 12 is only getting 4 in this year, and whether it's the Aggies or the Buffs they are losing in the 1st round.
Only 4 huh? So based on your prediction it's Texas, Kansas, OU, and the A&M/Colorado combo? You and your CAA loving brethren better hope that Colorado or A&M lose early in the Big 12 tourney.
I have zero faith in Colorado or A&M...do you realize A&M has never won a Big 12 tourney game?
which makes them the william and mary of the midwest.
I didn't realize that about A&M.
Do you guys have a bonfire before big football games too? What about the 12th man? I'd love to see one of you guys suiting up for the Tribe's kickof coverage team.
we all don tri-cornered hats and chant revolution-era slogans like, "dont tread on us", and "avast, ye scurvy dogs".
They used Squirrel as the tee...does that count?
Close enough for me.
It's not the 12th man, but Coach Laycock ordered me to physically restrain Coach Kelchnr from going after the refs several times.
Kelchner, AKA Benedict Arnold...What a class AAA douchebag that guy was/is.
DePaul 108, Syracuse 69
Old Dominion 87, DePaul 43
I don't think ODU's 82 points better than Syracuse, but that's a pretty dramatic pair of games to illustrate the CAA's argument. ODU's the 4th-best team in the CAA, and they wasted a team that just drilled a likely NCAA at-large squad.
for the 3 of you that care, we're rooting for Hofstra to beat UNCW in the CAA final, after topping Mason in the semis. as unlikely as it may be, that's the best scenario for the CAA to get 3 into the dance. we're also rooting for chalk in every other conference tournament, and rooting against:
texas a&m
seton hall
colorado
air force
florida state
southern illinois
bradley
unc (on principle)
Now, this is very hard for me to say, but Syracuse is in huge trouble. I was half-right when I touted Depaul this year, and they are a very good 12-14 club. But to lose by 40 with only 2 or 3 games left in your season is bad. Cross the streams bad.
By the way, UAB v. Memphis was a very good game last night, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a more drastic change of pace occur so late in a game. That game went from being "fast-break, run and gun, Rodney Carney is a man beast" fast to "total defensive clamp down no baskets for the last 6:00 minutes" slow.
