ReplyDeleteI got a copy of 'Midnight Marauders' on LP. I haven't had it since I lived with Zman 25 years ago. Gotta dub it to cassette so I can bump it in my minivan.

ReplyDeleteMimosas were followed by White Russians which have given way to a Dale's Pale Ale. Hanging with my girls and gf. We just made up a Christmas category of Scattergories and laughingly played for 90 mins. Listening to what will be my curated best-of-2020 playlist. Don’t have exquisite cuisine tees up for the fam, but for now, simply enjoying some pimento cheese and Green Mountain Gringo salsa and chips while soaking in fam time. Peaceful.

“Oi to the World” by the Vandals is another good subversive Christmas song. And “Santa’s Beard” by They Might Be Giants.
ReplyDeleteI made standing rib roast first time ever, fancy scalloped potatoes, sautéed green beans with prosciutto for our family. Plus, homemade coquito (Puerto Rican style egg nog sort of, I guess). And dessert - margarine pound cake. All delicious. Even if I did cook it. We’ve alternated watching some sports, playing games, watching “Schitt’s Creek” and hangin’ out. Calm Christmas. Nice. Merry Merry y’all. And we’re on vacation for two weeks now, going to OBX Sunday. Woot!
