The Secret Lives of Men

Our man TJ has a lot going on in his life. Husband, social media maven, connoisseur of fine foods (and honestly, who saw that coming?), raconteur. So there are some reasons why we haven't seen all that much of him around these parts.

Turns out there's another reason.

He's about to release his third album.

As yet untitled, the new record features 'Heart's Eyes', which you can hear below.

And because I know you want to refresh yourselves on the Teej's earlier stuff, here's a link to his last album, 'On the Horizon'.

The video for his first hit single 'Anonymous', really makes him look thin. Nearly sickly, if you're asking me. I prefer a voluptuous Teej.

I'm sure he'll tell us when he's touring next. That's summit material, for certain.

The food thing can’t be overstated. The man would order kids’ menu grilled cheeses and had a condimental palate consisting of “Ketchup Only.”

This album is a banger

The Teej is all over Instagram on his latest holiday. Wearing a Goonies shirt while visiting the beach where they filmed the movie is the most Teej thing ever.

I also popped into a morning Sunflow class at the yoga studio before hitting said beach.

I still have the mini Heinz ketchup bottle favor from TJ’s wedding displayed in my house. Our dude has come a long way from his chicken finger and 7-11 hot dog diet of yesteryear.

Speaking of food, the wife and kid and myself are spending the weekend in Winter Park. One of the few redeemable areas of Orlando. Spent the afternoon eating oysters, boiled peanuts and bacon whilst drinking. On our way to a legit ramen spot for more drinks, ramen and Korean fried chicken. Pretty nice little Saturday.

Mark, is Winter Park the place with the killer pork-named restaurant I went to years ago?

Ravenous Pig, I assume.

Yes sir. They’re currently working on a new location in Winter Park. If not we would’ve gone there last night.

The ramen was great. The fried chicken wings tossed in kimchi butter (?) stole the show though.

Mini FoG:TB summit in the burbs w/ Dr Spector and Juan Carlos. They both had stories of raising teenage girls that made me happy to only have sons.

Seeing the Knicks on the cusp of flailing their way through free agency makes me very happy to have emotionally divorced myself from the team a decade ago.

Last rumor I heard was Julius Randle and Tobias Harris going there. Hahaha.

Both my parents attended college in Winter Park. I got into the same school but went to Williamsburg, Va instead. S-M-R-T.

I remain baffled by the fact that some Virginian kids got accepted into both UVA and W&M and chose W&M. Maybe kids had specific social issues to navigate, but I don’t get it.

“I don't get it. It turns from a building into a robot, right? Well, what's fun about that? What's so fun about playing with a building? That's not any fun!”

W&M was a building that turns into a robot.

w&m was a much better fit for me than uva would've been. uva was my first choice, and i didn't get in, but i'm really glad things worked out the way they did. i loved my time at w&m. suited me perfectly.

and more importantly, i'm here for kd in brooklyn. it'll make the league much more interesting. the warriors/nets finals in two years are gonna be lit.

i definitely wouldn't have learned to play zoom at a world-class level at uva.

have one, zman.

Relaxing this week on Nantucket for our annual vacation. (Little bit of a humble brag) I been here so many times but it's the eighth strait for our son. These kids are so spoiled.

Growing up, I remember driving from VA to Hampton Beach, NH in a Lincoln Mercury wagon with fake wood side paneling for summer vacation. Fun way to spend 10 hours in the car and then stay in a old beach house with no AC. I remember sweating every night while sleeping. Maybe that's why I hate the beach.

Side note, outdoor showers are the best thing. Especially having a beer in one.
