New (Old) Prince. Same Old Awkward

Legend has it that Prince left behind hundreds of unfinished tracks upon his far too early passing a few months ago. Hopefully, that means we can expect scenes like this one to be repeated.

Somehow, ABC News got the hookup to drop the world premiere of 'Moonbeam Levels' recorded originally during the 1999 sessions, but never released. Enjoy it, but dig if you will the reactions of the live Prince fans who had the pleasure and/or torture of listening to it while being filmed.

It's probably safe to ignore the last 18+ minutes of this. But if it's not, maybe let me know.

Tough result for your Irish, Danimal.

Not sure what vacating wins does for the victors. In high school we got crushed by a school and especially a tailback who ran hog wild on us. Turns out he was 21. They vacated the win some years later. Whoop-dee-do. Sucked then, means nothing now.

Is there really no one else that's available and capable of coaching the USMNT?

Did the internet police get to the link/video? I don't see it.

Another good Prince clip of him showing up in the middle of a Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings show to jam for 30 seconds. 6:30 mark if you want to see Prince.

The stories about Prince holding court at the after-party following the 40th anniversary of SNL is the stuff of legend. As news that he would play permeated the party, celebs like Jay Z and Beyoncé lost their shit and acted just like any of us would've if we were at a party where we spontaneously found out Prince would play. Cool stuff.

This news comes from Bill Simmons and Marc Maron podcasts. Lots of celebs told those stories.

Somewhat unrelated - Marc Maron's WTF podcast has had some amazing podcasts with musicians recently. David Crosby's podcast aired in mid-October. It'a fantastic. He has some fun anecdotes about the 60's and the Dead. The Roger Waters podcast aired in early November. Also great. And Maron did a podcast with two writers who wrote "Please Kill Me - An Uncensored Oral History of Punk", which came out 20 years ago. It came out about a week ago.

Go stuff your ear holes w/ sonic magic.

Team TR about to descend into Miami for a long w/e with the beautiful people in Miami Beach. I am also taking the family to the sure-to-be-riveting Fins-Niners game on Sunday. Surprisingly, there are plenty of tix available. The 415 AM wake-up is sure to result in a major melt-down this afternoon, but all is good for now.

Yet another step in my journey to visit every city Will Smith has ever rapped about.

Party in the city where the heat is on.
All night on the beach til the break of dawn
Welcome to Miami (bienvenido a Miami)

I love the media pushing this narrative that the election was hacked. Apparently mostly baseless allegations of election rigging are now OK despite the fact that three weeks ago they were an assault upon the very fiber of the republic when stated by Trumpkins.

Occam's razor folks. The simplest answer is that we are as a country of yokels who will look past racism and sexual misconduct if they think it is in their personal best interest.

Arrived to Kingsport, TN via Honda Odyssey at 1100 hours today. Slightly different than Miami but am looking forward to fall weather, leaves and landscapes and family of course. Spent last night in the home of the cocks, Columbia SC. May get a quick run in before I begin self-medicating.

rolling through pennyslvania on the way to the steel city. less balmy than miami, more disgusting sammiches with french fries on them.

TR- I recommend your try and grab a meal at Yardbird. Amazing fried chicken and an absurd bourbon selection. There's also a great tequila/taco place called Bodega Taqueria.

I doubt you'll have a chance to ditch your kids, but if you do then go over to Alter in Wynwood. Tiny place with awesome food run by Bon Appetit's 2016 Chef of the Year.

And I might add that your decision to attend Phins-Niners is a terrible one. You're going to be stuck in traffic for a total of 4 hours as the stadium is nowhere near Miami (not even in the same county) to watch a shitty football game. Have fun though!!

Do the Pennsylvanians put fries on everything? I remember having a mid-west PA version of a cobb salad that had French fries.

I love my this year's version of Thanksgiving. Not traveling, not having people over. Going out to eat (a first for me) and coming home to beer and DVR'd football.

We will hit one or two of those restaurant places Mark, but Alter looks unlikely. It's about 25 mins away. Appreciate the recommendations.

I appreciate the shit-talking about the stadium a bit less. We'all go a bit early to see the stadium. Coming home will blow, but there's only so many times in life you have an opportunity to see Tannehill v Kaepernick.

The stadium has been upgraded and looks a lot nice than it used to. It's still not great though.

Alter is worth the trip (it's actually not far, Miami traffic just sucks) but better when you can enjoy it as adults. A couple other restaurant recs:

Michael's Genuine
Captain Jims (dive bar/fresh seafood)
Sakaya (Korean fast-ish casual)
Ceviche 105- Peruvian

Tough to go wrong with breakfast pastries/Cuban coffee at Versailles

You don't see many 3-syllable QB's match up like that. With Fitzpatrick liable to be benched at a moment's notice, this might be the last one of the NFL season.

I misread the halftime score as 40-36. That woulda been a lot cooler.

Tribe was up 13-11 at one point. My boys naively were excited. Was awkward to tell them to get their hopes down.

Spurs - Hornets has some goofy-ass white people: Hawes, Kaminsky, Davis Bertans, Gasol, Lee, Ginobili, Balonelli.

Don't forget Belenelli.
