Adios, Syracuse. Buh bye, Villanova. After a day filled with early blowout shitbaggery, the tournament once again delivered as the sun went down, though I sure could have done without the Cuse lose. Today promises a little bit of the same, methinks, with possible early wins for Kansas and Wichita State and the real fun hitting the hard wood later in the day (Tennessee/Mercer, anyone?). Anyhoo, enjoy today's themed-filler...
Clarence, now you can throw back a Fireball shot or two. It's brunch. Don't listen to Dave.

Kansas plays like a bunch of jackasses a lot of the time. They have so much talent and athletic ability but they only seem to harness it for a couple minutes a half, which is enough against most teams. I'd like them to lose but Stanford does not look like the team to knock them off.
a Kansas lose would (1) simply make me happy, because f them, and (2) completely detonate that part of the bracket thus making my Cuse homer pick irrelevant
go Stanford
Teedge lose, Tebow smash!
how is ZFran, zman?
Ok but nothing opens until 11 because it's Sunday but I feel like its 2 pm.
I would feel bad if my parents named me Naadir. It would be a low point.
golf clap
hahahahahaha Kansas
ugh, I need to pipe down
this is the year of the nerd school
too bad W&M didn't get that memo
too soon, Shlara
too soon
for an exceptionally gifted group of athletes, kansas really doesn't play basketball all that well. may the same remain true of kentucky today.
The biggest issue with Kansas is guard play. They're all freshman and thus don't play consistently nor do they take care of the ball like you'd hope/expect.
In related news, Florida's region has really opened up for them.
For reasons that are not exactly clear to me, I will be rooting for Kentucky. Maybe it's the underdog thing.
This game as a lot of early energy and intesity. Good.
My Kansas-Duke finals match-up pick looking strong to quite strong.
I'm at Great Wolf lodge in the Poconos. It is painful. Giant indoor waterpark w/ huge lines everywhere. And it appears there is a plus-size male bad tattoo contest, unless that's just a coincidence w/ the crowd here.
Thankfully, they sell beer here and we have wine in our hotel room.
The tattoo schadenfreude is one of the underrated highlights of resort pools/waterparks.
Lots of fat dudes have no problem with a centered, lower back tattoo that is framed by egregious stretch marks and unsightly body hair. Hot stuff.
This game is quite fun.
My stretch marks are gregious.
These threes are shocking.
my god
Ess Eee Cee
Calipari paid someone to make this happen.
Well then. Brackets be damned, last 18 hours have been fun.
Yes, his players
That was quite entertaining.
Cleanthony Early was a beast.
he was. would've liked to see him take that last shot. but van vleet is a helluva player.
mini-summit with mr. and mrs. marls commencing soon. we gonna get wild* up in here.
(* we might go to a bar to watch basketball and eat some food.)
were those three point bank shots intentional?
and i had nothing to do with the guitar or the lyrics in clarence's "family band." he's gone totally rogue on this one.
But thanks for the bad guitar insult, Zman.
No,they weren't intentional.
Best first weekend of the tournament ever?
I met Rob for maybe 20 minutes roughly a decade ago, but my blind faith in his backing of Tennessee is really paying off.
Too bad that Georges Niang broke his foot. Iowa St-Michigan St would be awesome with both teams at full strength.
And yes, that assumes both teams would advance to the regional final. Probably a dumb assumption based on tourney results thus far.
They really made a Hangover 3 movie??
Florida-UCLA tips at 9:45 on Thursday. I see an extremely unproductive Friday in my future.
geesh, Creighton.
When was the last time duke UNC and kansas all failed to make the sweet 16?
