Gheorghe: The Week Finale

In what will come as precisely no surprise, we've run out of post topics for Gheorghe: The Week. Frankly, the excitement of it all has really taken a toll on our aging mindgrapes. We'll leave you with the best examples of what appears to be a criminally short supply of artwork featuring Gheorghe: The Man, and hope you'll stay tuned for GheorgheFest II: One for the Dumb.

i will have nightmares about that second image.

On the off-chance Gheorghe: The Man actually googles us to check us out, the second image may actually bother him.

Then again, on the equally likely off-chance I am struck by lightning today, it won't matter to me.

The baby kemp shirt is trumped Only by the wasilla hockey shirt. In other news, I'm sharing the train with awesome meathead lawyers. "I'm fuggin admitted in new jersey AND new york!". That's a real quote.

Another quote: "I think he's got no bawls at awl."

I own the Gator t-shirt on mothering hut. I don't think I bought it there. But it's great nonetheless. Hoop in it all the time.

rg3, y'all

Wait, the skins are giving up 3 first round picks and a second rounder this year for RG3? That feels a bit steep.

Danimal said...

They'll be fine. They've got it all figured out.

Marls said...

That's winchester math.

The skins have such a storied tradition of using draft picks wisely that I'm sure this will pan out for them.

Also, RIP Biggie. Yesterday was 15 years. This deserves better treatment in this space but I unfortunately will have no free time until April. So that's all he gets.

I think it's probably worth it for Washington. It's near impossible to win in the NFL without an elite QB, or at least a QB capable of playing like an elite QB for a period of time. If Griffin turns out to be an elite QB then the Redskins got a steal. If he doesn't, they probably wouldn't have been good anyway.

The past few years have shown that if you have a Brady, Peyton, Rodgers, Brees, that it barely matters who else is on the team. And that even if you have a stacked defense and a good running game (Baltimore, Houston, SF) you can still get beat by QB-only teams.

February 10, 2012:
Gheorghe: The Blog posts this piece about Nils Lofgren, including a segment on how he provided the music for the old Jhoon Rhee TKD commercials.

February 17, 2012:
Washingtonpost.com publishes this piece about Nils Lofgren and how he provided the music for the old Jhoon Rhee TKD commercials.

I'd like to ask the math-minded in the group to tell me what the chances are that this was a random coincidence.

teej - check the logs to see if we having incoming page views from a wapo ip address. i find this nearly impossibly coincidental. of course, i also think oj did it, and that's obviously not true.

The article also includes the Bullets Fever stuff, too. It's great if they read us, and imitation is the highest form of flattery and all; it just wouldn't have been that hard to include a link to us.

The black keys are the official band of march madness? Will akron make the tourney?

rob said...

in addition to being a dolt, digger phelps doesn't appear to know that much about basketball.

Donna said...

no kidding that was so a charge by unc at the end. and is it true about shaka and vcu?

I'm seeing the Black Keys two Fridays from now, right in the middle of March Madness. At ODU's basketball arena. Which makes it convenient for the Monarchs basektball team, since they won't be a part of March Madness.
