Nothing fancy today - just creating a place for futile superfans to weigh in on this evening's William and Mary/UNC Wilmington matchup. The two enter the game tied for second in the CAA with 7-3 marks. The Seahawks have won 5 straight, including consecutive wins over Gheorghe Mason and Old Dominion. The Tribe shook off a tough loss to ODU, going on the road to beat James Madison and clinch a regular season sweep of the Dukes. That doesn't play real well at my house.Wilmington's got some inside presence that will cause the Tribe some trouble, with the imposing 6'10" 265-lb Vlad Kuljanin coming off a 26-point, 25-board week and 6'9" Todd Hendley averaging 12.5 ppg. Freshman point Chad Tomko teams with stud T.J. Carter to give the 'Hawks a tough backcourt. As has been the case all season, the Tribe will go as far as their outside shooting takes them. W&M's made double-digit triples in three consecutive games, and six times this season - both school records. Nathan Mann dropped 19 on JMU and leads W&M with a .417 mark from outside, making 24 of his last 49. Laimis Kiselius is the reigning CAA Player of the Week.
UNCW has a top-flight offense, but struggles on defense, especially on the perimeter. W&M scores a lot less and defends a lot better. One of these unlikely squads remain no worse than one game out of first place in the conference after tonight's game. Litos says it'll be UNCW, and we like the way he thinks.

Couple things:
-Big road win just now for Cuse (over Villanova). Gets them to 6-4 in a tough Big East.
-Rare treat for me on ESPN2 right now: Siena is playing Rider for first place in the MAAC. [By the way, Stanford is 17-3 and ranked #14 in the country - one of those three losses is to Siena]
-Geoff's boy Roy Hibbert had yet another big game today. We need our intern to crank out Roy's stats since Geoff took the hatchet to him.
...and Siena is down 20-5 to start the game. Yikes.
terps tried hard to lose at georgia tech but pulled it out. they could either go deep in march or flame out and not make the tourney. what an odd team.
and baylor's giving texas all they want in austin - the only reason i'd ever watch the yes network.

anyone know why the "C" on the UCLA jerseys is a different color this year? I assumed it was something temporary in the early season but it seems to be something that they're going to do all year long.
this tribe stuff is starting to get a little bit out of hand.
Apparently UCLA is the first school to amass 100 total NCAA titles so they're going with the gold C all year to commemorate.
which also adds validity to the alternative "cocksuckers" theory.
I agree with Rob. Just out of curiosity, what are they doing to commemorate their consecutive ass kickings at the hands of the Gators in the NCAA tourney? Maybe Kevin Love can get something shaved into the side of his head.
