Bark at the Moon

According to NPR, a pair of lunar shutterbugs met over social media and collaborated on a project to get the best picture of the moon ever... by creating it out of a whole lot of partial shots.

It took astrophotographers Andrew McCarthy and Connor Matherne over nine months to edit their final image. It's comprised of more than 200,000 shots pieced together to make a single photograph.

Pretty cool. As Cougar sang, check it out.

I believe the Beastie Boys sang Check it Out.

Not technically. You’re thinking of Ch-Check It Out.

i'm fasting for my first colonoscopy. apparently i have to drink some sort of evil liquid tonight. then, of my own volition (no alien abduction needed) i am going to go to a place where they stick a probe up my ass.

also, if you like to drink, don't listen to this podcast . . .

Dave, colonoscopy prep is nowhere near as onerous as it used to be. Liquid you drink is tolerable and far less voluminous than 10-15 years ago. But don't stray far from a commode.

Modern medicine is amazing. Since I’m not yet 50, but the doc still wants to do a colon cancer screen, I have the option of sending my poop via mail! Actions that would have gotten me arrested in the past are now cutting edge science!

I do not envy Marls's mailman.

Or milkman

my dr. was very down on the poop-by-mail test . . . but if i survive this procedure, i'm never doing it again. only good thing is i have lost all my vacation weight.

the huberman lab podcast on alcohol is really eye-opening and -- honestly-- terrifying-- because i like to drink some, but the one thing you can do to combat some of the inflammation and gut leakage is eat low sugar fermented food, so next obft we need miso soup, kimchi, kombucha, and sauerkraut

We may want to contact Tortuga's to get them to develop some new menu items.

I'll have the crabcake reuben with extra kraut, please.
