What Goes Around...

As the father of a pair of daughters growing up too quickly, I listen to way more pop radio than I'd prefer. (Though my oldest is rapidly transitioning into a pseudo-metal fan - this will be the subject of a later post.) The number 12 song on the Billboard 100 right now is a catchy tune by Cincinnati alternative band Walk the Moon entitled 'Shut Up and Dance'. I've heard it three dozen times if I've heard it once. And if I'm being honest, I kinda like it.

It's familiar, though. Title and all. Not a copy, mind you, but an homage. 80s sound, fated lovers, and destiny on the dance floor.

Compare, contrast:

The answer: 4.
Question: the number of times Faldo has referenced his win against Norman without being prompted.

I'm rooting for Speith but am doubtful of his being able to close it out.

I hear you Danimal, but the birdie after the bogey tells you he's still focused. Rose is gonna need to do something special to turn the screws.

spieth. Sorry J dawg.

Not a very suspenseful day of golf, but still entertaining. Lots of guys making memorable approach shots and medium-long puts for birdie and eagle.

Did they ever get a story out of Tiger as to what happened to his wrist on that shot out of the pine needles?

Bubba Watson rocking some sweet green vans to match his green jacket.

Spieth should have made that putt on 18. 270? Pfft.

Zman, I can get pretty damn close to cheese shop house dressing at home. It's not worth kissing TR for some.

Taste Unlimited in the 757 has the same sauce in squeeze bottles so I can provide to whomever needs it.

brad stevens is about to get the celtics to the playoffs with a roster of young guys, nobodies, and castoffs.

To Mayhugh, Tiger said he had a bone pop out, but with his unique set of skills he was able to pop it back in. Paging Dr. Woods! Pfft!

Sorry for the duplicate pfft rootsy.

Here's one for ya....Spieth has earned 14m on tour in 60 events. For you English majors that's a lot. Howevah....he has banked 5m in the last month! Bam! Now, that is BEFORE taxes so don't get too excited.

You're right Z, I've never kissed TR.

The approximate recipe is

3 Parts Mayo (southern chefs use Duke's)
1 Part Mustard (I use Woerber's sandwich pal hot & spicy, but your stone ground mustard of choice will work fine)
1/2 part horseradish sauce
1/2 part A1 steak sauce.

You can play around to get it dialed in to your preference. I haven't made it in awhile, but that will get you in the ballpark.

Thanks man. Rootsy, rob, RIF, it's all the same to me.

There's a group of 6 tourists (clearly not commuters) sitting in the quiet car on the train north. They've been conversing in whispers, so I leaned over and said "you know you're in the quiet car, right."

And, the one guy shouts at me "We know. You're so rude."

He's talking in the quiet car and I'M rude??
