Bhullar: The Blog

What's more Gheorghe than a 7'5" NBA baller? A 7'5" NBA baller who just happens to be the first player from his native land to hit the hardwood in the NBA, that's what.

Sim Bhullar, who you may remember from his days on New Mexico State, played all of 16 seconds in an NBA game for the Kings on Tuesday night, and then a night later made an actual bucket in a game to become the first player of Indian descent to score in an association contest (sure, he was born in Canadia, but his parents are from Punjab, India).

His signing has even led to the Kings rolling out a Hindi version of their team website. You can expect the Romanian version of G:TB to roll out sometime in 2019.

Gheorghe :Blog
Dedicat de la premisa că viața ar fi mai bine dacă toți am luat noi un pic mai puțin în serios .

Following up on Rob's comment on Steph Curry last night. He broke his own NBA single season record for 3s made. Best shooter ever.

I just arrived in Tallahassee. Yep, this place still sucks.

that airport is a dump

Mark said...

Indeed. It's no Melbourne International Airport.

Come on now. Did no one appreciate that I learned Romanian and translated the G:TB tagline?

Clarence probably appreciates it.

Is Dare to Be Fat a Weird Al reference?

I drank all the Woodford reserve in my liquor cabinet while my neighbors drank beer and now I'm listening to one of these days. Alone. Am I pathetic? Or should TR run over here to drink the rest of makers mark?

Clarence said...

You are only pathetic if you fail to remember the Pi Lam bird.

zman said...

There is no bird!!!

The breakfast buffet at the Comfort Suites in Fredericksburg, VA is a murderers' row of rich and beautiful people. We are trucking the clan to Williamsburg for a few days for Spring Break. Made it 300 miles last night after hitting the road at 609 PM or so.

Very excited for Pierce's BBQ and a Cheese Shop sammy.

If you bring me back a tub of house dressing from the cheese shop I will give you a full kiss on the lips.

Clarence said...

They now put house dressing in jars.

And yuck.

My oldest sister and me are incredibly different. She favors monogrammed items and preppy clothes. I doubt she could nane a single hip hop act or song.

My wife is out shopping with her and just texted me that the store they're in is "the whitest place she's ever been". I believe it.

Vineyard vines? J Press? Murray's toggery shop? Lily Pulitzer?

Mark said...

All of the above, I believe. You're speaking my sister's language right now.

Glorious day in the 'Burg. My kids got muskets they pointed at strangers and I got a bitchin' Bloody Mary at the very cool Dog Street Pub. Kingsmill is a sweet place to stay.

Looking forward to some beers in the Germany section of Busch Gardens tmrw.

The Daily Press had a huge article on the Tribe football Spring game. Sounds like the passing game is finally up to snuff. Wish I knew earlier that starting QB Steve Cluley went to high school in the town next to where I grew up.

My sister is a bigwig at Lilly Pulitzer and has been for a number of years. This means that (a) my daughters get lost of expensive pastel clothes for free and (b) I am the black sheep of the family.
