Uh, when a guy is in Orlando riding Space Mountain with his daughters, do you figure he has any right to demand anything? Except maybe a new pair of newts?

T.J. said...

You sure he can get on Space Mountain?

zman said...

First trip for zbaby to the emergency room for stitches. I'm not looking forward to this.

i am worried about space mountain and the tower of terror and all the other rides that whip you around. i am hoping my son ian, who is shorter than squirrel, will not be tall enough to ride, so that i have an excuse to bail. . .

rob said...

hulk ride smash! dave, suck it up and let your self get thrown around. so what if i can't walk today.

maryland football, worst team in the fbs or worst team in all football?

rob said...

jerry sandusky, you sick fuck. allegedly, of course.

zman said...

And that video is like a mentos ad.

been a long time since my wife and i last rode real rollercoasters. we went on two at universal today - hulk ride and dragon challenge. both were fun - lots of corkscrews and loops - but i still haven't recovered my equilibrium 3+ hours later. tonight's drunk is gonna be extra fun.

mark, there's a flock of wild turkeys outside my hotel room. what's the proper floridian protocol here?

Mark said...

I assume you mean the actual animals, yes? If that's the case, get your gun.

Anybody have any predictions for Bama-LSU?

Since I asked I'll give mine:

I think LSU wins on account of them having the better/more diverse offense. Jarrett Lee is the pick-six machine he was as a freshman and Ruben Randle is a first round talent-level stud at WR. Odell Beckham Jr. is pretty good too. It's easy to forget, but John Brantley passed the ball very well before he nearly lost his leg to Courtney Upshaw. At the time of his injury, Brantley had 190 yards passing and had driven Florida inside the Bama 15 twice (also threw a 50 yard TD pass). I think LSU can move the ball on Bama's secondary with has a lot of big names, but lacks consistency, imo.

Bama's run game is stronger, and I believe Trent Richardson is the best player in the game but I'm not sold on AJ McCarron or Bama's receivers outside of Marquis Maze. Bama's passing game is almost exclusively screens to their backs and short to intermediate throws to their two TEs.

I think it's close, obviously, but I'll take LSU on the road.

mccarron worries me, too. and i don't think bama's really played a decent offense yet, so their defense, while really good, may not be as phenomenal as their reputation indicates. i, too, think lsu wins a close one.

LSU 20, Bama 17

Danimal said...

before you 3 shmucks, i hadn't heard anyone picking lsu other than 3 buddies of mine, also shmucks.
going bama....27-13

Danimal said...

can't believe no one is talking about the notre dame/wake game. come on people.

rob said...

my pick is mostly designed to not jinx the tide. i really have no clue. about the game and life.

clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.

rob said...

my movember mustache is coming along nicely. have a huge sales call on the 17th. big decision to come.

rob said...

this penn state coverup is sickening. had no idea they were a catholic school.

Danimal said...

what's the likelihood you'll get the deal? keep the stache.

Danimal said...

what's the status of these underwear picks k.q. the wife is anxious.

rob said...

i don't love alabama's strategy of playing for the 50-yard field goal.

rob said...

like i said.

Danimal said...

that's 3 kicks. 9 points for those of you slow at math. if you bet on lsu you have to be in good shape.
go irish!

rob said...

hey, field goal!

rob said...

god damn, but trent richardson is fun to watch. and alabama's defense is playing its ass off, especially given the field position these moronic kicking decisions have created. i don't know if that's grammatically correct, but it's true.

Danimal said...

would be cool if kids under 3 knew we get an extra hour tonight.

Danimal said...

the bama INT and nd td happened almost simultaneously...that's good shit

T.J. said...

Notre Dame finally looking decent.

Danimal said...

that is until you speak

T.J. said...

Ugh.

Danimal said...

whatever happens w/this game and the career of tommy rees, he will without question end up the all time leading turnover maker in nd history

T.J. said...

If Tommy Rees had to play either of these defenses, he would throw 8 INTs in the game.

T.J. said...

Hey, throw some more picks, fellas.

Danimal said...

verne just said "stretch the chain" heh heh heh

TR said...

If you're a big program like Bama, you have to have a second-string punt returner. Maze is clearly hurt.

TR said...

Kirkpatrick flailed like a Spaniard. Get upbitch.

TR said...

Bam a should've burned a TO w/ 90 secs left.

TR said...

No way Bama does anything here.

TR said...

I think we can safely say that the loser of this game will end up ahead of Boise in the rankings.

Sorry Idaho.

zman said...

I bet the final score is 6 to 9.

Danimal said...

mark - you talked about everything but "the kicking game"....WOW!!!!
fuck.
me.
running.

T.J. said...

LSU kicker misses this, maybe?

TR said...

Ok St can't take themselves seriously if they give up 45 to KSU.

T.J. said...

That K State/Okie State game looked awesome.

Jerry said...

That OK State game was ridiculous. Also, Boise tied at 14 in Vegas.

Jerry said...

Watching those two at the same time was odd. Almost two different sports.

Mark said...

Yes. Those two games on dueling TVs was an odd juxtaposition. I like defense but I'd at least enjoy a TD or two.

rob said...

waaay too many mistakes by alabama to win that game, including a number of significant ones by the coaching staff. tide defense deserved better.

i'll give 50/50 odds that we see these two again in the national championship.
