How about DeSagana Diop even getting it done for the Mavs last night?

Jim Paxson went out and celebrated the vindication of his general magerial vision after Diop's fourth quarter/OT performance. Now, if DaJuan Wagner could just get that nasty infected colon under control the world will beg for Jimm apology. At least that's how he envisions it.

To clarify, Jim Paxson is the terrible GM and John Paxson is the guy who hit a championship jumper for MJ and the Bulls?

Si Senor, also John's older brother.

They couldn't just fire him?

ESPN's Paul Maguire will join Bob Griese and Brad Nessler on ABC's top Saturday afternoon college TV team.

A driver in a gray Honda van stopped at a red light exited his vehicle and kicked a citizen's truck also stopped at the light, adding to the victim, "Stay off my tail." The van driver then re-entered his vehicle, put the Honda in reverse, and smashed the front of the citizen's truck. The driver of the Honda van was allegedly Jake Plummer. May. 24 -

You've got to be kidding me...this guy is a Major League manager, and he writes up a lineup based on POSITION?

Manager Ron Gardenhire said Tuesday that he may bat Jason Kubel leadoff against right-handed pitchers rather than move Luis Castillo.

One of Gardenhire's most frustrating tendencies is drawing up his batting order by position, rather than player. Shortstops always bat in the same spot, second basemen always bat in the same spot, and apparently now so do left fielders.

Someone needs to settle Joe Theismann down a bit. We are talking about the CFL after all:

Former quarterback Joe Theismann, who began his professional career with the Argonauts and later went on to star in the NFL with the Redskins, said he was "embarrassed now to be a Toronto Argonaut" in an interview with ESPN Radio's Colin Cowherd.

"I don't ever want to be mentioned in the same breath as Ricky Williams as a football player. He's a disgrace to the game. The man doesn't deserve to play football. He should go on with his life and treat his drug addictions or go do whatever he wants to do. He's been suspended from the NFL on multiple occasions. Doesn't anybody have any class anywhere? For gosh sakes, let the kid go do what he wants to do. He doesn't want to play football," Theismann, who is part of ESPN's Monday Night Football announcing crew, said.
