Happy Apocalyptic New Year!

I know Marls gets pissed when I post The Test here, but fuck him, we're still cranking out episodes (and filler is needed). This one is about the impending apocalypse, and it's a tour-de-force.

When we started this project, we assumed we would run out of topics fairly quickly, or get sick of hearing our own voices. Neither has happened yet. Our ignorance is boundless, as is our fascination with how we express it.

This one gets a bit dark . . . beware.

Buzzfeed--WOW!!
It's unverified, but you HAVE to read this dossier

"Now BuzzFeed News is publishing the full document so that Americans can make up their own minds about allegations about the president-elect that have circulated at the highest levels of the US government."

goat yoga. yoga, with goats. and the 18-year old daughter of the dean.

I like that we have elevated her age for decency standards at GTB.

This press conference would be fantastic but for the fact that it isn't an SNL sketch.

zman said...

I once did goat yoga in front of a static-filled TV.

Sean McDermott was a year ahead of me in the 'Burg and now he's about to be the head coach of the Buffalo Bills.

I think this means the DLC has his first head coach client?

The LeBatard show is coming back from all commercials with pee related music today. It's glorious.

Thanks Gheorghies.
I'm old, but I try not to act that old.
You guys understand that, I'm sure

Happy Birthday, Shlara.

I seem to be sitting in the middle of a herbalife convention at San Antonio airport. I thought they went out of business, guess I was wrong.

Whitney said...

Three colleges can claim multiple current NFL coaches as alumni. Name them.

Okay, it's difficult.

Mark said...

Herbalife is very much in business. I should know. I started the company.

University of the Pacific - Pete Carroll and Hue Jackson

Idaho State University - Marvin Lewis and Dirk Koetter

College of William & Mary - Mike Tomlin and Sean NcDermott

i laughed at mark's comment

zman said...

I would've thought Sean NcDermott went to Chapel Hill.

Forget December, January is f'ing expensive. Do you all have to coordinate and pay for summer camps this early in the year as well?

The amount of planning, my wife does with friends, is insane to make sure the kiddo gets into the 'right' camps with his friends. Can't imagine having more than one kid but you probably send them to the same camps. That is, unless you are Dave and drive the family around the country for a month.

TR said...

My oldest is on a wait list for a 4-wk late summer camp. We are stuck for planning anything else until we hear for sure on this in a couple months.

Wife and I can't wait for the day (hopefully in 2 yrs) when we drop both off for the same 4-week session and can have a few weeks of fun.

zman said...

Everyone is presumably blind now because the imagery conjured up by TR's last comment made us gouge our eyes out.

zman said...

The new head coach of the Rams is 30. Much like Kyle Shanahan, I'm asking myself "WTF?"

Dave said...

we are home this summer-- broke from last summer's epic adventure-- and when we are home for the summer we have to do some summer camp coordination as well, but mainly week-long half day sport's camps and such. this allows cat and i to have some 1/2 day fun in the daylight.

rob said...

1/2 day fun? who are you, sting?

TR said...

Romancing the Stone on one of the HBOs. Great 80's flick.

Marls said...

The doobie brothers broke up? When did that happen?

rob said...

strong effort this week, gheorghies. daddy's coming home tomorrow. your regularly scheduled dipshittery will commence shortly thereafter.

TR said...

I don't mean to brag, but I get to travel to Woodbridge, NJ, Wilmington, DE, Philly and Plainsboro, NJ today. Living the dream.

Mark said...

Many weeks long summer camps is a northern thing. Not really available down here. We've sent the kid to summer camps that's last a week and plenty of half day sports camps but that's it.

Eagerly awaiting another year or two when I can ship my youngest up to my sisters in Tallahassee so the wife and I can take a week long vacation. California and Iceland are both high on the vacation list.

Marls said...

That is some solid northeast corridor travel you have going there today TR. Are you now working the cafe car on Amtrak?

TR said...

Drive to Metropark, Acela to Philthy, meetings w/ a colleague, NJ Transit from Princeton to Metropark, drive home, pour scotch.

Whitney said...

Patton Oswalt late show at the Warner March 3; it's a go. Will commence slimming down to fit in the seats.

Marls said...

At least you aren't on the bus TR.

Driving in an ice storm at night is safer than during the day?

i think we need to name someone obergruppenfuhrer.

Mark said...

Isaiah Thomas might be my favorite player in the NBA. So damn creative. Elite scorer.

rob said...

also, wee.

relatively speaking.

Mark said...

Yes. He's my size or possibly a little smaller. He's averaging 28 a game. That's not supposed to happen.
