If This Doesn't Inspire You To Greatness, Nothing Will.
Today is round one of the play-offs in my adult soccer league, and though there is no reason for it, I am a little nervous. It has less to do with me being competitive and wanting to move on into the next round (although I am fairly competitive and I would like to move on to the next round) and more to do with the fact that I don't want to disappoint my teammates. I don't want to be Charlie Brown. I don't want to be the goat. So before the game I will watch this clip for inspiration. It will remind me that no matter how badly I choke, some other poor sap might choke even worse.

geoff's giving mike & mike the business over on the twitter. and he's right. between tiger's dull as beige personality and the softball questions that went begging for followups, that was a decidely useless interview.

tiger is a tool - there's no other way to say it. maybe in real life he's cool & hip like gtb'rs. if so, he should give the people a peek rather than be so douchey. that is the danimal's two cents.
I've always heard that Tiger is generally more well liked on the tour than is FIGJAM. I've also heard that the one thing every one can agree on is that Vijay is a dick.
So...I was thinking..."The Rear Admiral" is a great name for a gay bar.

yes geoff - hear the same on tigger vs phil inside ropes personality...it is why i constantly ask - why does he not show it, even a little, when he does these interviews and his pressers? what is the downside? ESPECIALLY now....it just makes no sense to me.
I think its because he's still a nervous nerd...and doing TV interviews is like anything else...you improve with time and experience...and he has no real experience.

the game is not televised but one of the guys on our team sets up a tripod and takes video of every game. this is inexplicable. does he go home and watch the video? the worst part is, he's one of our older and slower players and everyone on the team has definitely said something derogatory about his lack of defensive huddle while in range of the camera . . . maybe i can get a clip and post it on g:tb. it will definitely be inspirational.
and, of course, i spell hustle "huddle."
in my defense, the "s" and the "d" are right next to each other on the keyboard.

Several hours late here, but there was an actual Manhattan bar called Manhole. It was among the most comically named bars near my old West Village neighborhood. Boots and Saddles and Rawhide were also in the mix.
Tremendous effort all the way around with the names, gents. But maybe that's just the couch scotches talkin...
