Does DH stand for "Double Homicide"?

Kevin Millar decided to kick off the Orioles season by emulating everyone's favorite god-loving, woman-hating, double-murdering linebacker Ray Lewis and his "Look at me, I'm a crazy lunatic" dance. Well done Kevin, that was super. And yes, I realize this footage is worse than the Zapruder film, but you deal with the hand the YouTubes dealt ya.

Kudos to Carl Pavano. Last night's win was his first in almost two years, and was BY FAR the best performance of any Yankee starter this year.

And if I'm handing out praise for much-maligned Yankees, can all the a-holes who crushed Alex Rodriguez last year please give him some credit for his white-hot start this year...you still have plenty of time to crush him come September and October.

Cherish the good times Mr. Rodriguez...cherish the good times:

Alex Rodriguez hit a two-run homer in the Yankees win against Minnesota, giving A-Rod five home runs and 13 RBIs in New York's six games this season. In the last 50 years only two other major-league players had at least five home runs and 13 RBIs in their team's first six games of the season: Willie Mays for the 1964 Giants (6 HR and 13 RBIs) and Nate Colbert for the 1971 Padres (5 HR and 14 RBIs).

A-Rod's five home runs are the most for any player in Yankees history in the team's first six games of a season.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, not fucking around at all:

"...handed out the first suspensions under his discipline policy, banning Adam "Pacman" Jones for the entire 2007 season and Chris Henry for eight regular-season games."

Any chance those hold up in the least after the union does their thing? I predict 4 games and 2 games, (dis)respectively.

All depends on whether Tagliabue showed Goodell where Gene Upshaw's leash was...

TJ, you've been invited to appear on Keepin It Real with al Sharpton tomorrow courtesy of that last comment.

Well then I suggest he book Bryant Gumbel as well...

In entertainment news, it appears Kato Kaelin is the father of Anna Nicole's kid. Who knew?

G:TB's "Nats Stat of the Day", courtesy of the Elias Sports Bureau:

The Nationals have been outscored by 35 runs over their first eight games this season. Over the last 10 years, only two other teams were outscored by that many runs in their first eight games: The Tigers had a minus-35 run differential in their first eight games in 2002 and 2003.

By the way, that 2002 Tigers team finished 55-106.

The 2003 team was even worse: 43-119.

GOULET!

Then there was the Pride of Lawrence - and snackfood pitchman - Robert Goulet who certainly didn’t mess with the Red Sox stuff yesterday. He did, however, belt out “The Man from LaMancha” classic, “Impossible Dream” during the pregame tribute to the 1967 Impossible Dream Team. “I was so nervous it was ridiculous,” the Vegas crooner, 73, told the press after his stint at the microphone. “I was thrilled to be able to sing for them today.”

Felix Hernandez might be pretty good, huh? I'm sure he didn't invent pitching like Dice-K so his accomplishments are insignificant but he managed to learn well enough while watching from the dugout last night.
