Not long after the time he killed Prince, the artist formerly known thereas got to work in his Paisley Park studio to produce a compilation of the work done under his once and future name. According to Prince Vault, the video was creating to satisfy the wishes of the promoters of 1995's Ultimate Live Tour, who wanted him to play the hits. Instead, the video was played as an introduction to those shows. The resulting mashup was released as a CD single called The Purple Medley. And until this week, I'd never heard it, nor of it.

I only have to be in the office 5 days a month which is nothing and I should not bitch. But today my commute, typically all highway driving, was 2 hours to drive 29 miles. I did not get on the highway once this morning. Great use of my time.
ReplyDeleteto dave's assertion in the previous thread about the epstein "files": i don't think trump and the gop would've fought as hard to avoid their release if there was nothing we'd learn. i think team trump is between a rock and a hard place now. if they allow for a full reckoning, trump and some other very powerful people (in both parties) are likely fucked. if they don't, trump continues to bleed maga support and the resulting internecine warfare could hammerfuck the gop for the next two cycles.
ReplyDeletemarjorie taylor-greene's recent moves are a prelude to this - the maga movement feels betrayed by trump who told them he'd shine a light on epstein during the campaign. now that he isn't, an unholy war is brewing. it's greene vs vance vs bannon vs ben shapiro vs what passes as sane folks for the control of the party. and it'll get ugly.
a prediction: i don't think trump is president by the end of 2026.
Any idea how that prediction may come true? I hope it's not one that requires members of congress to grow a collective spine.
