The Twelve Days of Gheorghemas: Day One

It's a yearly tradition for me to both delay the start of Gheorghemas due to procrastination AND make it all about me, so here we are folks. Dig in for the most wonderful time of the year.

On the first day of Gheorghemas

Big Gheorghe gave to me

Running gags with quatro kitties

Happy Gheorghemas to you and yours...let's get this party started.

  6. How are we ranked above American? They beat us a few weeks ago and twice our win total. (2 to 1.) I'd be outraged.

  7. We have zero division 1 wins.

  8. It gets worse. Our one win is over DIII Mary Baldwin who is 1-6 including losses to CBB powerhouses Penn St.-Abington, Ferrum, Eastern Mennonite, and a 15 point loss to the non-NCAA Apprentice School.

  9. The Hampton game is going to be the real shitmus test. If they lose that one, 0-31 in DI is a real possibility.

  10. That's just good scheduling on our part.

  11. I turned off the Gator game late in the second half. Embarrassing. I was so high on this Gators team just a week ago.

  12. Without it, we might've become just the 8th D-I team to go winless. Those teams include:

New Jersey Institute of Technology ('07-'08)
    Savannah State ('04-'05)
    Prairie View A&M ('91-'92)
    The Citadel ('54-'55)
    Baylor ('44-'45)
    Dartmouth ('17-'18)

    and...

    wait for it...

The College of William & Mary in their 1936-1937 season. 0-18.
    Phew.
