It's a yearly tradition for me to both delay the start of Gheorghemas due to procrastination AND make it all about me, so here we are folks. Dig in for the most wonderful time of the year.
On the first day of Gheorghemas
Big Gheorghe gave to me
Running gags with quatro kitties
Happy Gheorghemas to you and yours...let's get this party started.
it's the most wonderful time of the year!
ReplyDeletespeaking of wonderful, tribe is 342 of 358 teams in the ncaa's first net rankings
ReplyDeleteWith a bullet! At least they’re not in the bottom 16?
ReplyDeletewell texas southern just beat florida, so we might be moving down. nobody tell mark.
ReplyDeleteif one could describe a person's look as 'skater hobo', that's my daughter's vibe.
ReplyDeleteHow are we ranked above American? They beat us a few weeks ago and twice our win total. (2 to 1.) I'd be outraged.
ReplyDeleteWe have zero division 1 wins.
ReplyDeleteIs that bad? It sounds bad.
ReplyDeleteIt gets worse. Our one win is over DIII Mary Baldwin who is 1-6 including losses to CBB powerhouses Penn St.-Abington, Ferrum, Eastern Mennonite, and a 15 point loss to the non-NCAA Apprentice School.
ReplyDeleteThe Hampton game is going to be the real shitmus test. If they lose that one, 0-31 in DI is a real possibility.
ReplyDeleteThat's just good scheduling on our part.
ReplyDeleteI turned off the Gator game late in the second half. Embarrassing. I was so high on this Gators team just a week ago.
ReplyDeleteWithout it, we might've become just the 8th D-I team to go winless. Those teams include:
ReplyDeleteNew Jersey Institute of Technology ('07-'08)
Savannah State ('04-'05)
Prairie View A&M ('91-'92)
The Citadel ('54-'55)
Baylor ('44-'45)
Dartmouth ('17-'18)
and...
wait for it...
The College of William & Mary in their 1936-1937 season. 0-18.
Phew.
odu only 8-point favorites on the road in williamsburg tonight. if you don't live in virginia, that's free money.
ReplyDeletejmu finished the first half on a 22-5 run at home against uva. hoos made one field goal in the final 13 minutes of the half. and that was at the buzzer. 24-14, dukes, at the break.
ReplyDeleteand of course the tribe finished the half on a 19-7 run to take a three-point lead. unpossible.
ReplyDeleteTribe out scores 45-27 in the second half to keep the dream alive.
ReplyDeletefree. money.
ReplyDeleteMarls' typo fooled me
ReplyDeleteAnd UVa had a tough night. Women lost to American.
ReplyDeletePity.
