Super Bowl Week Filler

As random as it gets, here's (possible) double murderer Ray Lewis, amped out of his mind on deer antler smoothies, in spin class with none other than our namesake Ghita.

What an odd photo. (via @PaytonWales)

Have no idea what that even means, but I'm gonna guess...on the driving range?

Danimal said...

yeah, sorry. the all-time biggest prick in pga tour history, vijay singh, is apparently a user of the deer antler powder. but then again, who isn't? amiright?

TJ really didn't know what a spin class was? Even for someone who loathes exercise in the manner that TJ does I find this shocking.

I'm also seriously considering buying some deer antler spray. Not joking about this at all, by the way.

why dont they just call it "exercise bike class"?

This is sounding like when Karl Pilkington objected to the word "Earth".

My favorite Vijay Singh moment: I caddied for two summers at Muirfield Village and worked the Memorial Tournament each year. In '97, there was a major rain delay during the third round. Vijay was leading at the time and was in the fairway on the par 5 11th when play was halted. While everyone else went indoors, Vijay dragged his caddie to the range, made him pace off the approx 260-ish yards he had left to the pin for his next shot at 11 and proceeded to have his caddie stand out on the range, in a driving rainstorm, while he hit three woods at him.

They sell it on Amazon.

Klosterman's interview with Royce White on Grantland is fairly interesting. Maybe I'm just being a dick, I'm not sure that the mental health community will be thrilled with White as one of the high profile spokespeople for the cause.

Greg said...

Whom would they be "thrilled" with, Jerry? You? Lt. Weinberg? Whom?

Greg said...

What about "Madfish Willy" or "John the Gun"?

I read that interview and watched the Real Spirts piece on White last week. I agree with Jerry. White comes of as somewhat arrogant and dismissive of any point if view contrary to his on mental health and mental health protocols. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who's going to help bridge the gap and create greater public awareness and acceptance.
