Ahoy Polloi: Today's The Big Day

The Yacht Rock wedding sail-ebration (see what I did there?) will take place later today. I am hopping in the car this morning with BaconBaking, Shlara and WheelhouseJerry to speed down I-95 and I-64 in time for what will be a fantastic time. But before I go, I've got a little poem I'd like to read in honor of this occasion:

Oh, there's also this good sign/omen for today - KQ and Mr. KQ sent along this receipt from last night's pre-wedding activities:

that's a pretty reasonable tab for six drinks and food. norfolk! a very reasonable place to get shithammered and celebrate nuptials! i believe that's their tourism slogan.

Congratulations to the bride and groom! Sorry I couldn't be there. Fatherhood gets in the way some time.

Is everyone still alive? I know its early but a lot of pro versus amateur drinkers out there. Bummed to be missing the big evening. Stupid flu.

Florida is beating the ever living shit out of Mississippi State right now. Up 34 with 13+ minutes left to play. This is becoming an theme. Florida is too good for the rest of the SEC this year.

Holy shit. Li Na just slammed the back of her head on the court. I've never seen anything like that in tennis.

I want that Yacht Rock wedding band, I think they were called "Three Sheets", to play every large social gathering I attend from here on out

rob said...

'three sheets to the wind', in fact. apropos, indeed.

I actually had an 11:55 flight. I am at the airport now.

I'm feeling suboptimal.

Three Sheets to the Wind outdid themselves. Outstanding band.

Marls has made it back to NYC. Voting is in, he won MVP for the weekend. Marston was second, Dave third.
