I didn't know Miley sings that song. It's catchy albeit a little too poppy for me. That said, she can sing and is better than fair to midland on the eyes.
ReplyDeletePlease add Posting Credit to my account Rob...
ReplyDeleteHow good is that song?
ReplyDelete259m views on the youtube. Chic has it going on. Credits to the great Dolly Parton, who I think is her godmother.
I'm an unabashed fan of Party in the USA.
ReplyDeleteJust please nobody post that Chicago song. You know the one. Blech.

ReplyDeleteDoc Watson was one of few guitar players who could accompany a modal tune like this without totally fucking it up.
Even if a U2 naysayer, the new U2 channel on SXM has a little somethin for everyone. This morning I listened to Bono interviewing Chris Rock. Right now, Edge is interviewing David Byrne. Both are more than interviews though as it's fairly obvious there's a pretty strong kinship, rapport between each. Quite good.
ReplyDeletewho deleted James Brown from this post?
ReplyDeleteNot it
ReplyDeleteThis Ghislaine Maxwell news is unbelievable. The “s” in her first name is silent!? Unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteI do hope we do a better job of watching Maxwell while she is confined than we did her boy Jeff. We don't need the accomplice to get away with "suicide" also.
ReplyDeletewill she die of COVID...or pneumonia?
ReplyDeleteand seriously, whoever managed to delete the James Brown video from the page put it back up jfc people
ReplyDeleteI love “My President”. Hell, I love that whole album. The Recession still gets plenty of play in my car.
ReplyDeleteMy vacation has begun. Off tomorrow for the 4th. Leaving for Tybee Island on Sunday morning. I doubt we’ll do much other than hang out at the house or on the beach but the change of venue combined with family, good food and plenty of booze will be more than enough to keep me happy for a week.

ReplyDeleteThat X tune is fire
ReplyDeleteA second family in the town where Zman and I live have decided this summer to sell their house and move to Daniel Island (outside Charleston). The time to GTFO of NJ is nigh.
ReplyDeleteI am watching Face/Off for the first time. Seems implausible.
ReplyDeletethon maker's cousin makur maker committed to play hoops for howard. he's a five-star recruit, a 6'11" center. an increasing number of high-profile recruits have made noise about playing at hbcu programs, but he's the first. if others follow his example, the landscape of college hoops is gonna change in interesting ways.
