Video Week: Squeaky Submission

Sent to me via Twitter direct message, from Senor Squeaks:

For video week and the world cup. Vengaboys remake of '2 Brazil' for the world cup. NSFW (he's not kidding. do not play this at work if anyone can see you're computer and/or would like to get you fired. seriously. I'm even putting it after the jump to prevent it accidentally just sitting on your monitor.)

Danimal said...

So it's entirely gone? I'm intrigued.

KQ said...

So is everyone glued to lebronjames.com today?

Clarence, it's also dress like a cow and go to chick-fil-a for free food day today, AND buy one dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts and get a dozen glazed for .77 cents day.

from argentina's javier mascherano about his game-saving tackle on arjen robben's last-minute shot in the argentina/netherlands semi:

“I thought I had slipped, I thought I wouldn’t make it, but I tore my anus on that move, the pain…it was terrible.”

we're gonna assume something might've been lost in translation.

That quote was stolen verbatim from TR's greatest G&W story.

Cleveland, huh?

You guys did see my comment about seeing Melo in LAX yesterday right?

Squeaky said...

Yeah, he was on his way to Brazil with BronBron, right?

And as penance for the sexist video in this post, I present Neko Case and Kelly Hogan's video for 'These Aren't the Droids':

As well as some new WWPJ. If you like indie rock these guys keep producing great stuff.

Was just chatting with co-worker Matt .  Nice young kid, lives in Herndon.  Got to talking about the jazz thing tonight at the Museum of Art and outdoor concerts.  Said he lives in Herndon and can hear the Fri Night Live music from his house but has never been.

Actually, he said, he heard the band U2 showed up and played a couple weeks ago.  I said, you mean 2U right?  He said no, he heard it was U2, doesn’t Bono live around here?  I said no, I think Bono lives in Ireland. Then I lolzd

Bonno totally lives in Great Falls. He drives John Voight's old LeBaron.

Another 180 in terms of public perception from 4 years ago. Am happy for him and Cleveland Town, which always makes me think of this video and that always, always makes me laugh. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysmLA5TqbIY
Yeah!

Johnny Football - He just went from being Batman to being Robin.

I like the letter too Rob--hits all the right notes.
And a HUGE get for SI/Lee Jenkins

This also is good news for the Wiz for the next two seasons.

Carmelo has on offseason home in LA, Dan.

I think people under estimated how provincial Ohio is. People from Ohio LOVE Ohio. LeBron's family & crew played a huge role in this.

rob said...

kyrie and lebron are gonna be fun to watch. add kevin love to that mix? hooooo.

One of my college roommates is a Heat fan. An actual real Heat fan. He was texting me this morning convinced that LeBron was setting Gilbert up.

He sent me 6 sad/shocked texts when the news came out. Enjoy the lottery!

In St. Pete Beach for a vacation with the in laws and the infamous Bizzaro family. Many Bizzaros are already drunk.

Danimal said...

I like me some St. Pete though haven't spent a ton of time there. Flew over you yesterday evening - I crop dusted ya.

If I may humblebrag I did swim from there to Tampa last Jan. and apparently over lots of bull sharks that go there to have sex each winter. Was not aware of that prior.

Mark said...

I too like St. Pete. Highly underrated.

Danimal said...

Thanks Rob! With that, I'm outta here. A week away from office has me buried but I'm not motivated to begin to get out. Gonna head home and torment my wife and childrens. Procrastinating is fun.

I was intimate with a couple girls in college who could've been described as bull sharks.

The T-Wolves will be lucky to swap Love for Wiggins.

Not one Venga Bus joke? I love that jam!

You know what's also come back home? Bron Bron's hairline. He must be seeing Wayne Rooney's guy.

Marls said...

Hey Sabu, can you make a bull shot?

Also Richard Moll is 71. I feel old.

I think lebron's letter was a bit ridiculous. Going to Miami was like going to college? He was 26. If he loves Ohio so much why did he practically shit on it on national TV?

rob said...

you don't believe he could've grown and matured in that four-year period?

Danimal said...

I'm watching last week's episode of 24. It's pretty cool watching now that the star of the show is one of my good friends.

simmons wrote a typically simmonsian piece on lebron (a bit overwrought but full of really insightful bits) today. in it, he threw out a stat that blew my mind: from 1990 to 1998, the bulls never lost three consecutive games with michael jordan in the lineup.

When I worked in minor league baseball I handled much of our in game music. During my second year I made our post game victory music "The Best Around" from Karate Kid. One of my prouder moments.
