“Wu-Tang In Space Eating Impossible Sliders” Is A Real Thing

“The RZA, the GZA, and Ghostface Killah walk into a spaceship full of vegan sliders” sounds like the start of a joke. And I guess it is. But it’s also the premise of a new four-part video series to promote White Castle’s new vegan “Impossible Sliders.” It's real and it’s fantastic.

“It’s kinda crazy on Earf right now, so we came to space to acquire some knowledge and gain some perspective.” That’s some true and deep shit.

  1. Somebody was showing their man bush at Busch Gardens!

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Police in Virginia say they arrested an intoxicated 21-year-old who was running around a theme park parking lot naked, trying to enter vehicles.

James City County deputy police chief Steve Rubino tells the Daily Press bystanders at Busch Gardens corralled the man until an officer arrived Friday night.

He says the man fought the officer and bystanders and attempted to run away. Rubino says the officer used a stun gun on the man, who was taken to a hospital because he was intoxicated by alcohol and illegal narcotics.

The man, who wasn’t immediately identified, has five arrest warrants pending, including a charge of felony assault on a law enforcement officer.

Rubino says the man is a member of the Navy and is stationed in Norfolk.

  10. So the gist of that article is that protection of the minority interest is sacrosanct until you don’t agree with the minority? Color me unswayed.

When the majority is so fractured by a lack fundamental principles so as to allow a cohesive, disciplined (albeit douchey) minority to take control, is it really a majority? As Ty Webb taught us, a flute with no holes is not a flute.

When Democrats can’t manage to win states where they have a registration advantage (Trump won FL, KY, LA, NC, PA, & WV) I have a hard time buying that this tyranny of the minority lament.

  11. Merman asks to be controlled by dial up Internet so that may explain his trash technique.

I love White Castle. I have not tried the vegan sliders but the ranch chicken rings are phat, unlike me who is just fat.

  12. Respectfully Marls, that's not how I read the article or see the issue. One-holed flutes notwithstanding. And I don't know Ty Webb, is he Davis Webb's father?

  15. Z - I may have protested too much and I agree that the system has been misused by Republicans. I just think that the Democratic Party can’t manage to get out of their own way and have basically ceded power to a super cohesive minority. That’s not necessarily tyranny of the minority but a weakness and stupidity by the majority.

  16. My concern isn’t so much misuse as inequity. A guy who most people didn’t vote for, who won by a combined 78k votes in MI WI and PA, who may or may not have won those votes through Russian interference, and who may or may not be an unidicted coconspirator in federal election fraud just put two people on the Supreme Court, one of whom may or may not be a sexual assaulter and who only garnered 51 Senate votes for the position, and most of those votes came from states with low populations. Some point soon this is going to reach a head.

  17. that wu tang commercial about white castle is surprisingly deep and philosophical.

  18. Z - I hate Trump as much as the next sane person. I just think the “resistance” needs to find a way to put up a candidate who won’t lose states where they have a majority of registered voters. This idea that you can’t be an acceptable candidate unless you check every liberal box is how we ended up with this Cheeto colored, mouthbreating moron in the White House.

Be better, focus on local politics, take back state legislatures, elect governors, use that power to ungerrymander dstricts, block voter suppression, pass state laws that protect civil liberties and the environment.

  19. OK, so I'm trying to not comment on current events here on GTB, because I don't want to say something I regret
The issue, Marls, is not the total number of voters being organized or cohesive enough to exercise their power.
The issue is WHERE they are located.
And the issue has been compounded by partisan gerrymandering over the last several decades.
The Dems failure here is losing control, or even a healthy balance, of legislative bodies at the state level, where the gerrymandering happens.

  21. Too much seriousness!

I just found out that my Ohio trip next week is confirmed. I get to go to Cincy, Columbus AND Clevetown over two days. And to make it better, Detroit got tagged on as a third day.

That’s a whole lotta sadness to absorb.

  25. shlara is right, and marls is right. the gop has done the hard work of organizing at the local level much better than dems, aided by the decline of traditional dem stalwarts like unions. and the dem purity test means that candidates lose votes to poorly conceived protests, political noses cut off to spite all our faces. phil bredesen is going to lose a winnable senate race in tennessee because he supported kavanaugh. i don't agree with that decision, but bredesen was a progressive governor with a record of competent leadership, and lefties are going to 'punish' him in the name of liberal purity. we get the government we deserve.

  26. CJ Beathard is a player. It’s coming against a dumpster fire of a defense, but he has touch on a long ball, can hit intermediate throws, and can scramble. He’s better than 8-10 starters out there.
