Rabid Anti-Hashemite Palate Cleanser
Posting the very first thing that sprung to mind when I was trying to think of something related to Hashemites. Bonus in that it's one of the silliest lyrics in rock and roll history.

They played this song at Live Aid. It is indeed boss.
From Wikipedia:
Eric Bazilian told the Chicago Tribune in 1985 that he didn't know the meaning of the song despite having written it. "People ask us what it's about ... the weird thing is we didn't consciously put [the heavy stuff] there." Hyman later told Songfacts that the biblical images, including Moses and Noah, were not part of any agenda, though some radio stations refused to play it. "I love songs like that, you just listen and every time you hear it you kind of wonder what's going on."
great song. good album.
tying in to TR's post of yesterday...reminded me of a horror story that involved a stranger in an airport, rdu, circa 2005. was heading somewhere and not as early as norm. had to hit the head and didn't have a lot of time. outside of the loo was a custodian with a mop and bucket, waiting. for what i was soon to find out. i go in and it's a small bathroom with only a couple of stalls and 3-4 urinals. it looked as if the person in the stall closest to the urinals had taken a 3-gallon bucket of mud, more water than dirt mud, and dumped it on the floor. the volume was...voluminous. i felt terrible for the guy, just not terrible enough to hang around to assist. i had a plane to catch. i always think about that guy - what happened, why, how, what he did next, how he got out of there, b/c he could not have had pants to wear. if you're reading this mad mudder, let us know, k?
Today is my wife’s birthday. My oldest celebrated by getting sick in school and barfing in the hallway. My youngest celebrated by wiping out while running home. He skinned one knee brutally and likely broke a wrist. Not great timing, given we have a baseball tournament on Sat.
Happy freaking birthday Tiara.
When I was about 9 I was walking through the mall with my friend, and all of a sudden he slipped and fell. When I realized he'd slipped in vomit with the janitor powder on it, I laughed probably as hard as I ever had in my life. The kind where it hurts. Also once had a copier delivery guy use our jon and leave a mudpie all over the place - bowl, walls and all. I was the janitor on that occasion, and still carry remnants of that trauma with me.
Was just a sprain. Can’t wait to tell my wife he will play thru the pain. Vomiting stopped for the other one, but since he puked in school, they are hitting us w/ the quarantine rules. Makes sense, I guess.
see what you did, whitney?
increasingly sorry

Constipation jokes aside, this Suez Canal container ship blockage is an amazing story. The vessel weighs 220,000 tons. That's 440 MILLION pounds. I can't even fathom that number. The pics are comical, with tiny backhoes and tractors at the water's edge, while the behemoth vessel looms nearby.
What's less comical is the global trade impact. Oil can't move freely. Neither can liquified natural gas, a power source many European countries rely on. Goods can't move freely either. So for the inflation hawks out there afraid of what they are seeing (which Jerome Powell refuses to recognize), it will get worse. Soon.
Is Nathan Knight an inflation hawk?
The tanker in the Suez did a route shaped like a cock and balls before getting stuck.
